His Birthday

"Heyy? What?" he cried.
"I've planned something, hear me out" I said as he faced me with a frown on his face.
"Listen, today's Namjoon's birthday and I did all the preparations for a little celebration, just please give in my plan"
I told him and a smirk appeared on his face.
"Coooollll" he whispered.
"Duh! I know..come" we walked over to the lobby where I saw Namjoon picking up his coat, probably to leave.

"Hold up bro! Let's have some drinks" Jin said giving a try to make him stay.
"well, I'm good, you guys enjoy. I'll take my leave" he said approaching the main door.
"Namjoon, please you shouldn't deny me" I pleaded showing my puppy eyes to him.
He sighed and said "okay".
I showed my thumbs up to Jin and he dragged Namjoon towards the living room where I prepared all the decors.
He blindfolded him convincing him by his tactics.

"Okay, almost there" Jin guided Namjoon to the sofa.
"But why are you even blindfolding me?" he asked waiting for an answer. But no one replied.
"Jin?" he asked.
"What the hell is happ-" he said taking off his blindfold but was taken aback with what happened next.

Namjoon's POV
I realised that lights were off when she entered through the door with a cake with candles in her hand. She looked so beautiful under that yellow warm light. She sung me happy birthday. I couldn't believe she knew. I was so happy. She came near me and I blew off the candles. Suddenly the lights were on, Jin jumped from behind the sofa.
"Happy Birthday Man!" he wished.
"Happy Birthday Namjoon" Lily said and handed him a knife.

He cut the cake and looked at me with eyes tearful. I kept the cake aside and hugged him. I knew he needed it.
"Thank You so much you both...I'm grateful to have a friend like you" Namjoon said as he held my hands.

"Yet, birthdays are not complete without gifts" I said and took out a box from behind the side table.
"Here" I said giving him.
"You didn't have to, you already did so much" he said hesitating to take it from me.
"Namjoon please, you cannot say no to this, besides we're friends..Just open it"
I said as he looked convinced. He took it from me and unwrapped it.
"Wow! This is so beautiful" he said with a cute smile on his face.
"Happy that you liked it" I said.

It was a very charming purple swan pendant.

"Let me put it on you" I said and turned him around.
Snaking my fingers on his collarbone to find a suitable spot for the pendant to rest. I closed the clasp as he turned around.
"It's just so beautiful, thank you so much Lily" he looked happy.
"Hey, Jinnie. See what I gave Nam-" I turned around to show him my gift but what I saw was that he was busy eating the cake. I coughed and looked at him with a done face.
"Are you done eating?" I asked sarcastically, slightly laughing.
"No not yet, wait" he said to which I walked to him and picked up the cake from in front of his face.
'I'm going to get the drinks, you guys sit here' I said glaring at Jin and walked out of the room.
