Friends

Lily's POV
I was walking with my pinky finger in Minnie's hand when my eyes fell on a very familiar figure. The person turned sideways as I got a clear view of their face.

"Omg wait, is it" I whispered to myself.
"Holy banana milk it's Jinnnieeee" my brain screamed in my head.
I called out his name and he looked in my direction. Seeing me, I saw his eyes gleamed with happiness. He ran towards me and asked "Are you kidding me? Is this really you?"
I slapped his arm and said "It's just a month we didn't met"
He pouted and opened his arms. I jumped in them and he hugged me and twirled around.

Namjoon's POV
I already bought their ice creams but I got a phone call so it took me a little bit time. I came with the bag in my hand in the direction where I left my 2 angels. But I was taken aback with the scene in front of me. Lily was hugging a man so dearly and Minnie was laughing with them. I felt like pulling her away at instant but I've got no right to that. I came towards them with a straight cold look on my face.

Jin: Lily, who is this little lady here?
Lily: Oh she's my friend's lil sister, Minnie. Minnie, this is Jin, my best friend since childhood.
Minnie: Hello Uncle.
Jin: Hello... "hol-up"... sweetie I'm just 30, call me oppa.

Lily laughed while covering her mouth trying not be caught laughing. But her small gasps reached his ears well.

Jin: What you laughing at? Huh? I still look younger than you.
I was about to say something when Namjoon came back.
Namjoon: Well here you go.
Jin: You must be her brother.

Jin said pointing towards Minnie to which Namjoon nodded.
Jin: Nice to meet you, I'm Jin.
Lily: Namjoon, he's my childhood bestfriend.
Nj: Oh I see.
Lily: By the way, what you doing here?
Jin: I came here for taking a walk since I was working for past 5 hours.
Lily: Stop pressuring yourself so much, will you? You just came back from a month long travel, you should rest.
Jin scratched the back of his neck to which I smiled.
Lily: I planned for a dinner upon your arrival, just come over tomorrow.
I looked at Namjoon and he wasn't paying any attention.
Jin: Namjoon, you should join us too then.
I looked at him with hopeful eyes and said,
Lily: Yes Namjoon, he's right. You are coming too.
Well then, Jinnie I gotta go. Got lots of works at company. See you tomorrow.

Jin held my wrist and gave me a hug.
I chuckled and hugged him. He waved at me and I waved back.

Nj: You two seem to be very close.
Lily: Well, he is. He was the sole person with whom I saw my happiest days.
Minnie: Oppa I loved Jin oppa, he's very funny.
Namjoon smiled at her and said,
"You seem to like him more than me"
Minnie: No oppa, you're the best.
she jumped into Namjoon's arms from mine.

I came back to my cabin and was doing works when a reminder notification popped up on my phone. It said,
Joon's Birthday

I gasped and face palmed myself
"I almost forgot that it was his birthday tomorrow"
"So guess we are going to make a cake also" "I'll do decorations too, just as I planned earlier"

I got up from my seat stretching my body. It was almost 9pm. I picked up my car keys and went home.
Throwing all my belongings on the nearby table, I threw myself on the couch. I looked at the thing infront of me. My favorite wine bottle. I smiled and went to take a shower. I took a warm soak with the wine glass in my hand, enjoying myself.

After a refreshing bath, I went straight to bed, tucked my body under sheets. My mind totally occupied by just HIM.

Namjoon's POV
I was driving back home. I felt drowsy cause it was already past midnight. Upon reaching home, I checked on Minnie and kissed her good night. I went straight to my room after that, plopping on the bed I closed my eyes.
And saw her beautiful face smiling to me. Her eyes full of love and care were all I could see. I drifted to sleep while thinking about HER.
