It had seemed to me one of the longest nights of my life, apart from the fact that I was living on the same roof with a person whom I had sworn I would always hate, I also was very worried about my friend, who thankfully called me assuring to be good.
She told me a little about the kidnapping, but now I'm getting ready to go to her to know everything in detail.I partly feel guilty because it was me who put her on this no returning labyrinth and worst of all I couldn't do nothing to save her. After I saw myself in the mirror reflecting, the hair released till the shoulders and my face with a light makeup, I took the bag in my hands and I ran to the door.
I was about to open the door when I heard the sound of the bell ringing and from the stairs the sound of Aiden footsteps still looking sleepy.
As soon as I opened the door in front of me appeared a man more than 6 feet tall, with dark brown hair and blue ocean-coloured eyes on a stormy night. I immediately realized who he was, not only for the fact that I had seen him at the wedding, but everyone talked about Anhriel Rose, one of London most famous businessmen. I had not escaped writing some articles about him either."Sorry I'm bothering on your honeymoon, but Sam asked us to gather here for something important," he was explaining with a sly smile on his face as specified the honeymoon word. I gave him a polite smile, which he immediately returned. He looked different from the cold image that the media created for him, he even gave me a warmth.
Aiden rolled his eyes but did not say a word and as he headed into the living room, he motioned for both of us to follow behind.
Anhriel moved his hand in front of me, allowing space for me to pass and then slowly followed behind me. My stupid husband should take an notes.I was very irritated by this situation, the only thing I wanted to do now was to leave from here so i could meet Evelin.
"Dad called to let me know we have to wait for him here." Aiden said. He sat down on the couch and put his hands behind his neck, stroking it lightly.
"Me too?" I asked surprised since i wasn't part of their family for that long.
But time was not enough to give me an answer as the door rang again and no one was getting up to open it. I frowned in confusion and asked, "aren't you waiting for me to open the door, right?" and they both shake their heads.
I got up to go straight to the door, but I had my head turned back and speaking angrily to Aiden as I remembered the words he said yesterday: " Your supposed to open the door, you are the owner of the house."
But that devil knows how to turn things in his favour as he used the words I said to him.
"Well, the contract doesn't say so dear wife." I found Anhriel smiling at his words as I finally opened the door.
My father-in-law Sam appeared at the door accompanied by two men, who seemed to be his bodyguards since I had always seen them standing behind him.
"Hello dear. How are you?" he greeted me and I approved with a smile as he headed towards his sons.
Sam Salvador may be an old man but he has always been able to take a stand against people to show the power he has. He does not appear much in public, but I think that no one in London does not recognize his greatness, especially those of the mafia world.
When I was still a child I remember hearing my father talking about him and the empire he and his father had created. There was no one who had come against him all his life, but his glory was somehow shattered the moment they decided to kill his daughter.
Her death is still a mystery since the killer was never discovered, but that is a story for another day and now I'm really curious to know why he was here.
