Adaline pushed through the crowd of her classmates, lining up in chaos outside Room 29. Finally, she found Alice.
"HEY! Alice! I found out something!"
"What?"
"There's a national cake day! On November 26!"
Alice stared. "Wait, WHAT?"
Adaline rolled her eyes. "National Cake Day, id-"
She was interrupted by Ms. Widney:
"Whoa whoa whoa, is this how we line up? Get back inside and show me how it's done!"
Adaline slinked back into the class with the other fourth-graders and saw a sinister smile on Alice's face grow.
