Chapter 20 - Spending my Time

NICKY'S POV

It's time to play football in the field. So I decided to went there. Since it's Saturday *NO CLASS*. I hurriedly go and heading to my motorcycle. My dad notice me in our garage area.

"Oh! where are you goin son?"he asked while he approach his car to washed it.

"Hmm. .we've some meet up at the football field with my friends"I said as I smile at him as I move my motorcycle outside our house.

"Take care son. ."my dad said as he wave at me.

"Same to you dad. ."I respond at him then start the engine and I'm on my way to the football field nearby. After ten minutes of driving now I'm here at the field expecting that I can see some familiar faces here especially Brian and the rest of the lads to come over here to play for awhile. To described the field there are some children playing couples dating sitting at the bench under the large shade of the tree. Then I spotted a familiar figure of a girl sitting alone at the grass hugged the volleyball in her lap she wore above the knee short and fit sleeveless. Maybe she's waiting for her friends to play with her. So,  I decided to figure out who she was as I'm goin to approach her.

"Hello! you alone?"I asked her. She was surprised with my presence.

"Oh! my gush! Nico?"she asked me in a confused tone.

"Yup! it's me! Eu-u-Eumie??"I exclaimed in a stammered tone.

"Yeah! . .why you look so shocked seeing me? is there anything wrong in my appearance?"she said in a confused tone then she grinned.

"Yeah. .I didn't get to know you easily. .you know. .? as I know you're so conservative in wearing that kind of dress. .I mostly see you wearing long sleeve blouse and below the knee skirt and shorts. .I was so surprised.  ."I said as I grinned. She smiled at me in a timid move. I wondered why she always act like this when she saw me. It seems she's flirting on me but I erased that thoughts in my head I don't want to swim in this thoughts I had in my head it makes me an easy-to-get man I don't like to be with that kind of a man. I'm used of being friendly and kind to every person I met.

"Uhmm. .heheh. I've no choice but to wear this kind of dress. .coz it makes me feel comfortable in playing volleyball.  ."she shyly grinned at me.

"Oh! yeah. .it's true. .besides it fits to you. .you looked so pleasant in my eyes. ."I said as I grinned at her.

"You know. .Nico. .you're the only man or guy who said that to me. .and I appreciate that badly. ."she said as she smirk at me.

"Oh! yeah. .really??"I chuckled as I'm avoiding her captivating smirk on me.

"Yeah. .and I'm thankful for it. ."she grinned at me again.

"Of course. .you deserve it. .you know. .?"I stared at her and grinned.

"I've to asked some questions in you if you just don't mind. ."she said as she looked at me it seems she want to asked me some serious questions. What's in her mind? my goodness! I felt that she want to ride on her thoughts. God! I think I maybe dismayed anytime in this conversation. Although I'm a little bit uninterested by her questions but I tried to managed myself to relaxed and listen to it.

"You okay? Nico?"she suddenly asked me that make me backed to reality.

"Ahh. .yeah! I'm okay.  .so reveal your questions now. .I'm ready to listen and answer it all. ."I said as I smiled at her.

"Uhmm. .my first question is. .I know it's nonsense and silly questions . .but I hope you'll considered it as a friendly questions.  ."she said in hesitation.

"C'mon! it's okay.  .I don't care of what that questions would be. ."I said convincing her to uttered her questions.

"Uhmm...what makes you feel so winsome towards girls?"she asked me while grinning.

"Hmm...maybe I guess I'm so friendly with them and to you. .I'm not too boastful with my appearance definitely to be honest I'm not particular of that matter. .what I matters most is to be kind and friendly to every people I met around. .that's all. ."I respond as I smiled at her.

"Wow! that's an amazing answer ever!. .Ahmm. .my next question is. .why you hate Mathematics?"she cheered as she asked on me.

"Will, I don't know why I hate it that much. .heheh.  .hmm. I guess sort of formulas.  .I hate extracting numbers ans square roots. .gush! I think my nose began to bleed anytime. .or my beloved brainy. .I remembered when I was seven a pretty girl named Riza solved my Mathematics assignment. .serve as payment of bumping me along the highway. .you know I was the one who got a perfect score among my classmates that time. .that's my very first time that I got perfect score in Mathematics subjects.  .that's why I don't forget that girl. .maybe she's grown smart and beautiful lady from now. ."I said to her as I stare at the blue sky when I back my look at her I caught her wry.

"You okay? Eumie?"I asked her in a confused tone.

"Uhmm.  no! nothing.  .it's okay. .I mean I'm fine. ."she smiled at me bitterly. I know there's something in her that keeps me wondered until all this time. I'm goin to figured it out soon.

"Okay. ."I said in a calming tone.

"Uhmm. .next question.  .but I think it's the last. .may I know if you just don't mind on it. .may I know what's your ideal girl or woman you want to be with?"she asked again in a timid but flirt tone. I'd just grinned to myself. I seems she want to.  .gush! erased! erased it Nicholas! I chuckled and answer her question.

"Uhmm. .for me. .Uhmm. .I want a woman who's understanding, simple but charming, kind to everyone,  pretty and most of all she's intelligent.  ."I said as I grinned at her.

"Ahh?? okay.  ."she said as she bit her lower lip.

"Eumie!"someone called her name when I see it. It was my sister Gillian with her fellow friends.

"Nico!"someone's called my name too and I look at the person called me it was Brian and the rest of the lads. I stand up as well as Eumie.

"Hmm. Bye for now Nico. .we started to play volleyball.  .until next time. .thank you for your time. .see yah!"Eumie said as she approach my sister and her friends.

"Okay.  .I'm playing too. .you're welcome.  .Eumie. ."I said as I'm heading to my fellow lads and we started to play football.
