Chapter 37 - Have I Told You Lately?

KIAN'S POV

Jodi is a girl that can be called as a sincere and reliable friend that can be trusted whatever the situation you might've encounter in your life. The boy she adored is lucky to have her. But why I feel like this? I feel like.  .what??? Egan! Egan! just drop it for God sake! it's not you! it's not you! I thought as I shook my head. What's happened to me? Oh! my! am I in love with her? just when? My God! I don't want to get and take another risk and frustration once again! ENOUGHHHH!!!!!!! PLEASE!!! I almost poke my head in the pavement. It's not yet that long since Gracie dropped me by or shall I say she frustrate me. She didn't even bother to give me a chance. But now. .I'm in love again with Jodi? I hate it that much! Damn it!

"Kian John Francis Egan? What happened to you?"a curious voice stopped me from being so sensitive and aggressive in my thoughts and feelings. As I turn to face that person I am deeply embarrassed and shock!

"Jodi???"I suddenly float out in my thoughts when I see her. She just smiled at me.

"Yup. .it's me! Jodi Albert. .the one and only!"she as she's  grinning at me. My God! she's totally amazing!

"Uhmm. .yeah! a-a-Ah?? wha-what a-are yo-you do-doing h-here? a-I mean what brought you here?"I said as I act uneasily not knowing what to say or do. Am I that weird? Hahah if yes? then you're correct! stupidly weird! :-p nyahahah.  .Psh! keep quiet there people ;) I'm just making you laugh. Heheh. .so that you won't be moonstruck by your tiredness. Okay,  let's go back to reality readers coz I guess I talk a lot to you. .heheh.

"Hey! is everything okay Kian?"she suddenly speak up that made me back to reality. Oh? see? She caught so. .psh! heheh. .

"Yeah! I'm definitely okay.  ."I said as grinned harder.

"Uhmm. .well, that's fine. .but anyway, to answer your question a while ago. .I'm just here to talk with you for something. .well, I don't know where you're so I find you until I found you here inside your classroom all alone so I came here. ."she said as she burst a deep sigh seated at the vacant chair near to me.

"Yeah. .what was it Jodi? it seems you want to tell me an important thing. ."I said formally as I seated beside her while she look at me pathetically. What's wrong with her? it seems she have a problem or whatsoever. So, to know further I listened to her.

"Well, *sigh* I don't know if you already know this.  .bad sad news.  .that Nicky and mom of Michelle told to me yesterday.  ."she said while she begun to sob. I wonder. Nicky didn't tell me everything. I'm so curious about it.

"Wh-why??? what's that bad sad news?? I didn't know about it. .please tell me. ."I said in a curious tone.

"Mi-Michelle is dying. ."she sob but now is harder.

"Wha-what???? . .that can't be! but why??? I don't know she's sick I mean it's not totally obvious coz she look happy,healthy and pretty. .!"I exclaimed hard. I can't believed that Michelle will end like this coz she's a good, kind and loving girl with Nicky, her friends, to us and to her family. Why of all people she need to suffer like this? Oh! my God! I hope there's a miracle happened.

"That's what we thought but.  .now it isn't.  .it's just happened suddenly.  .she had a brain cancer. .Kian. .I don't know if miracle can save her to death. .I really hope that would be happened coz she's good to me. ."Jodi said as she sob once again. I hug her as I rub her back for a comfort.

"Psh. .it can be fine. .God will take care of her. .coz he really know what Michelle is. .more than us. .he's the only creature who can make miracle to Michelle.  .we should trust him. .no matter what. .okay?"I said while comforting her.

"Thank you Kian. .thank you. ."she lean her to my chest while she take a breath as a sign of relief.

"It's nothing.  .it's just my obligation as a friend of yours. ."I said as still rub her back hugging her and feel each moment with her.

"Uhmm. .Kian. .are you already recovered.  .Uhmm. .I mean recovery about Gracie did to you. ."she suddenly ask to me that make me stuck and speechless for a moment.

"Well, I guess I definitely recovered. .especially that you're here to me. .Jodi. .can I ask you something? I hope it's okay to you. ."I ask calmly to her.

"Thanks to it. .Kian I'm so happy to know about it. .and Yeah! you can ask whatever it is. .it doesn't really matters at all. ."she said seriously to me as she's willing to welcome me to what I'm goin to ask on her. I feel ashamed on it. But I hope she will answer me sincerely but yet full of appreciation. I cleared my throat first before I spoke.

"Hmm. .do I've a chance to be with you Jodi?"I said seriously to her that made her look at me with shocks.

O_________O!!!!!!!!

"Kian??? is this true????"she asked me in a confused tone but yet surprised.

"Yup. .you're not dreaming is it really true. .Jodi. .I don't know where or when this feelings has began.  .but now. .I've the courage to say it and I really hope it's okay to you. ."I said as I half make a grin at her.

"Well, Kian. .!!!! of course you're! Haven't you feel it a long time ago?"she said with gladness as she hug me back but bow it's a happy one.

"Wow. .thank you Jodi!!! I love you.  .!"I hug her back as I cheered with gladness. At last I'm happy and inspired once again. Thank God! Nobody can explain how happy I am right now.

"I love you more Kian. ."she responded calmly as I pull her and kiss her forehead down to her nose and lips. We're kissing like that in a minute or so. This is the most unforgettable moment that I'm going to be with the rest of my life.
