Becoming Friends

Hunter

"To the right! Go right!" You screamed, hanging onto Hunter as you saw he was driving the speedster bike towards a canyon.

"Let him drive." Echo yelled through your com device, as Hunter ignoring you.

Glancing back at the large sand wave chasing you, fear hit you as it seemed to submerge to where you couldn't even see it. 

"It's went down." You barked, "What are you thinking coming in here?"

"If it surfaces in here the rocks should slow it down." He called back, "Wrecker, Echo do you have the baby?"

"We do." Echo responded as you heard Wrecker's panic yelling in the background.

"Tech pick them up. We'll meet up at Cid's."

"No, come pick us up." You objected, "The dragon is going to eat us otherwise."

"That Krell Dragon can't get us." Hunter argued back, before the canyon wall above your heads seemed to explode.

Looking up while Hunter swerved to avoid the falling rocks, you saw the dragon's body move from one canyon wall and disappear into the other. One way or another, it was going to kill you both. Yelping as you felt the bike flip, you curled up as you landed hard. Your vision going dark for a while.

"(Y/N), wake up." Gasping for breath, you looked around in a panic. 

Expecting to see more rocks falling around you, "Hey, it's over. For now." 

Taking in a couple breaths, you nodded at Hunter before noticing your position. You were tucked under a large boulder, with Hunter crouched over you. Almost like he was shielding you.

"Did you drag us here?" You asked, as he nodded.

"I wasn't going to let you be crushed." He pointed as if that would be obvious, while helping you up, "Is that why you didn't want to come in here?"

"This canyon is home to another Krell Dragon." You explained, looking around cautiously with him, "If they see each other, they'll break this place apart."

"Great." He grumbled, "Tech, home in on my signal and come get us."

"Hunter, (Y/N) over here." Hearing Omega's voice, your eyes widened when you saw her waving by a hole in the canyon wall.

"Wasn't she supposed to stay on the ship?" You hissed, hearing his sigh while he nodded.

Both of you ducking as the sand broke not far away. The Krell Dragon seeming to glare past you both. Hearing a roar on the other side of you, a yell tore through your throat as you covered your head. More rocks falling around you. One even hitting Hunter, seeming to knock him out. Crouching down and covering him as the Dragons attacked above, you waited until they backed off some, before you wrapped your arms around Hunter to drag him to safety.

"What happened?" Omega asked as you managed to get him to the crack. 

Not easy to do with his armor. Setting him down before you could drop him, you quickly pulled his helmet off to make sure he was okay. Luckily his helmet protected him. 

"He's just knocked out. He'll be fine." You sighed, immediately pulling her to him when the canyon wall shook with the dragon's attack.

Covering them both as best as you could, you also tried to protect yourself. At this rate, you'll all be buried alive.

"Tech, how far are you?" You asked, ducking against as the dragons continued their attack, "We have two Krell Dragons fighting right over our heads."

"We're not far." He answered, "We can see that there's an exit at on the other side of the tunnel you're in."
