Third Person POV

The breakfast that Title's mom laid out for Cooheart was one that she knew through the time that Cooheart and her son were boyfriends, was Cooheart's favorite: vanilla pancakes smothered with maple syrup and a separate platter of crispy bacon strips on one side and scrambled eggs sprinkled with salt and pepper on the other side.

Cooheart hugged Title's mom and kissed her on the cheek to show his appreciation of her efforts, before sitting at the breakfast table beside Title.

Title poured some ice cold orange juice from a carton into Cooheart's glass before pouring some of it into his own glass.

Cooheart was enjoying the pancakes so much that he had not noticed some of the maple syrup dripping a little from his lips.

Title quickly took a napkin and leaned close to Cooheart to wipe his lips.

"I should help you clear the table and wash the dishes," Cooheart said to Title's mom after breakfast.

"Oh, no, no," Title protested. "I will do it."

"Both of you go back to the living room and watch some TV," Title's mom suggested, motioning to her son to take Cooheart to the living room.

"Are you sure, mom?" Cooheart lingered by the breakfast table.

"Yes, I'm absolutely sure, son," Title's mom insisted. "Go and join Title in the living room."

Cooheart followed Title to the living room where Title picked up the TV remote control from the coffee table.

Title and Cooheart were in the middle of watching a talk show on TV when Title's mom came into the living room to announce that she was going out for a few minutes.

"Why?" Cooheart asked.

"I have run out of my cough syrup," Title's mom explained to Cooheart. "I'm just gonna go and buy some at the nearest pharmacy."

"No, stay home, mom." said Cooheart. "I will buy it for you. It's the least I can do to repay you for that lovely breakfast."

"Oh, no, son," Title's mom protested. "You should never think that you have to repay me for anything that I do for you. Stay home with Title. I won't take long."

"Please, mom, I insist," Cooheart said firmly, already heading for the front door, "I will be back shortly."

"Alright then, son, if you insist," Title's mom knew from Cooheart's tone of voice that she wouldn't be able to dissuade Cooheart from doing the errand for her.

The pharmacy was only a few minutes away. It was located in a small plaza close to Title's house.

Because it was a small plaza, the parking lot was small as well so it was always a challenge to find an available parking spot for one's car.

Finally, Cooheart saw a white SUV pulling out from near the end of the parking lot.

Cooheart did not notice that another car had been waiting for the SUV to leave, long before Cooheart had arrived.

The moment that the SUV left sufficient space for Cooheart, he quickly and expertly maneuvered his own car into the vacated space.

HONK!!!

The angry sound startled Cooheart and he quickly got out of his car to confront the angry motorist who had also gone out of his own car to confront him.

Cooheart and Kao confronted each other with shocked expressions when they found out whom it was they were about to get into a fist fight with.
