Earth's POV

"I don't really love him... " the words just came out of my mouth without my realizing that I actually said them.

I quickly walked over to the driver's side of my car to open the door but never got around to doing it because suddenly I was enveloped in the warm loving arms of Kao.

I tried to break away but I was sure that Kao could tell that my effort was half hearted.

He held me tight and I stopped fighting him.

When he felt me loosen up he withdrew his arms and placed his hands on either side of my face.

He slowly lowered his face to mine, stopping just long enough to give me a chance to back away if I wanted to. I knew that I didn't want to.

I allowed him to press his lips on mine. But it happened only for a split second because suddenly WHAM!!!

Kao got slammed against the door of the car parked next to mine.

Kao slowly straightened up while nursing the side of his bleeding mouth.

He was about to swing at the man whose back was to me when the man spoke up, "Don't you dare assault your own patient if you don't want to lose your license!"

I suddenly recognized the man.

"Title! What the hell are you doing here! You're supposed to be at home resting!" I couldn't believe my eyes.

"I had the strong intuition that you wouldn't be able to pick up my mother's medication that is why I decided to follow you here," I heard Title say. He turned to Kao before saying, "And I was right, this cheating bastard has decided to pursue you again now that he's back from Japan."

"Watch your mouth, you jerk," Kao said. "You will be facing me in court very soon for assault and slander. I have never been unfaithful to Cooheart so you better take back your accusation."

I had to step in now.

"Kao, please," I said, "let's not be hasty in making decisions while our emotions are running high. I have an errand to do so I'm afraid I will have to go now."

I turned to Title and said, "Let's go inside the pharmacy and pick up your mom's cough medicine."

Title followed me inside the pharmacy and together we proceeded to the aisle where the various cough tablets and syrups could be found.

I picked the cough syrup with the popular brand and brought it to the cashier. Title immediately took out his wallet and paid for it.

"I could have paid for it," I said to him. "It doesn't cost much."

"You have already done so much for me and my mom," Title said. "We can't burden you any longer."

"You are not a burden to me," I assured him. "What will burden me is if you hurt Kao again."

Title's face immediately fell.

"I'm so sorry, Coo," he said. "It won't happen again."

"I will hold you to your word," I said, making my voice sound ominous.

"I promise," Title said, his face looking suitably repentant.

"Here, take your mom's cough medicine," I said, handing the small paper bag that contained it to Title. "I will go back to my place. Tell your mom to get better soon and that I love her."

Title accepted the paper bag.

"What about me, Cooheart?" he asked, his eyes starting to glisten with tears. "When will you ever love me back? Is it so much to hope for?"

On instinct I leaned towards him and hugged him.

"I have never stopped loving you, Title," I said. "It's just that I love Kao more."

I felt his chest heaving against mine.
