"And I would say I love you, but saying it out loud is hard, so I won't say it at all." -Sufijan stevens

Harry's POV

-

My hands grip the magazine of the gun as I gloss my fingers against my engraved initials. The sleek smell of a new gun was always something I appreciated, meaning it was going to shoot well.

I stuffed the gun into the back of my pants, hooking it onto my belt so it didn't get loose. Peering my head up in the mirror, I saw my father. My hair was slicked back with enough gel to suffocate a person. My curls loose at the ends.

I had a dark blue tuxedo on with a crooked tie tightened around my neck. My suit jacket sat on my shoulders as I pulled my sleeves down, revealing my dad's old H.S. gold cufflinks.

Natalie had picked out this suit for me while I was dealing with Kennedy. I had her get in contact with one of my associates that runs my errands. He was on his way across the state to a sort of gala, another charity auction. We knew Leonardo and his followers were going to be there, so we decided to pay him a visit.

I had to keep the facade up that Kennedy was gone for good. I didn't want to give her any reasons to stay with that bastard. I knew she wouldn't, but the thought slips my mind when I allow myself to think too much.

"You look handsome." Natalie said behind me, forcing me to turn around towards the door.

Natalie smiled at me through red lipstick and heavy makeup. She wore a tight black dress that stopped at her knees. Spaghetti straps strangled her shoulders as the fabric over her chest covered her skin.

A pair of open toed heels were on her feet, showing off her manicured toes. Her hair was in wavy curls as sunglasses were placed on her face as a form of secrecy. Even though we weren't trying to be secret.

"Thanks." I nodded.

Natalie walked over and placed a pair of sunglasses on the sink in front of me. She smiled at me before taking my tie and fixing it so it was straight. I watched her painted nails as she did it, they looked like she had just done them a few seconds ago.

"How was Kennedy?" She asks while she pulls on the tie to make sure it's perfect.

"What do you mean?" I questioned dumbly.

"Oh please, don't lie. I saw her walking away from her spot. How was she, did she tell you everything?" Natalie asked with slight distaste in her voice. I sighed.

Lie, Harry

"No. I basically shoved her off. She said she wasn't coming back." I spoke quickly so the shrink in front of me wouldn't notice my lie.

"Okay." She nodded.

Okay? That word has never once come out of her mouth. Just okay? She must know I'm lying. Shit, if she does, she won't trust me. I need her to trust me. She's the only family I have left.

"So, what's the game plan?" I asked, quickly changing the subject.

"Well, we're gonna show up and wreak havoc." Natalie smirked.

"Sounds good to me." I nodded in agreement.

I love fucking up peoples nights

Natalie quickly removed her fingers from my tie and smoothed them down her dress. She cleared her throat before walking out of the room, ending our conversation.
