Just for a quick reference, the song attached is what Harry is listening to for the beginning of the chapter! I would recommend giving it a listen as you read, it's one of my favourites! <319 weeks pregnant
"Harry! Would you turn it down?!" Marley called out, her voice echoing from the bathroom as she finished wrapping a towel around her body after her shower. Having overslept, she was now in a rush to get out the door to get to her appointment in time while her Mum was impatiently waiting for her downstairs and Harry was being a pain in the arse. To say she was stressed was an understatement.
Instead of helping her get ready, the teenage boy was too busy dancing around her room like a lunatic to his new Led Zeppelin record blasting from Marley's record player. One song in particular had been going around on a loop for the past twenty minutes, the boy having carefully lifted the needle up to place it back at the start of the song. It was driving the blonde girl insane. She wasn't even that much of a fan of the band but she'd used her staff discount to buy it for Harry, knowing he was going through a Led Zepplin phase at the moment and it was safe to say she was regretting giving it to him. Hearing the slow guitar intro restart for the fourth time, Marley rolled her eyes and took a deep breath to calm herself - shaking her head as she took a final glance at her reflection in the mirror before making her way back to her room. She was going to kill that boy.
The girl entered her bedroom with an unimpressed frown, standing in the doorway as she watched her boyfriend laying on her bed with his eyes closed as his head bobbed to the loud music. He was too engrossed in the beat of the music to notice he was no longer alone in the room and if Marley wasn't in such a rush to leave, she would take the chance to make him jump. The song continued as Marley made her way over to her wardrobe where all her clothes were shoved messily into a pile from where she'd tried to find an outfit the night before but got too tired to put them back. Some of Harry's clothes were mixed in with hers as the boy spent so much time at Marley's house that he decided to leave some of his stuff there - not that Marely minded, she was always stealing his shirts.
Quickly sifting through the pile of clothes, Marley struggled to find something that would fit. It was a problem that she hadn't really noticed before but now she was in a hurry, it became yet another issue that slowed her down. She was sure that her Mum was going to come up any minute to yell at her to get a move on. After trying on her third pair of jeans and struggling to do the button up, she was beginning to feel tears pricking her eyes in frustration. Not to mention the fact her boyfriend was oblivious to everything because he was obsessing over the main guitar riff of the song that had now kicked in.
The boy had leapt from the bed and was now swaying his hips gently in time to the electric guitar flooding the room. His fingers danced in the air, pretending to change the chords as his other hand pretended to pluck at the metal strings of an imaginary guitar as he shook his head back and forth to the rhythm to pretend he was one of the rock stars he admired. On a normal day, Marley would be giggling and joining in but now she stood on the spot, trying not to cry as she watched him acting like an idiot with her trousers unzipped.
"For fuck's sake! Harry, turn that shit off." She snapped, throwing an old t-shirt at the back of his head to get his attention. Harry flinched a little at the realisation he wasn't alone before spinning around to look at the girl. Upon seeing her upset expression, he immediately rushed over to the record player and turned off the music before going over to check she was alright.
"What's wrong, lovie?"
"Your baby is making me fat and none of my clothes fit and you're just fucking prancing around like a dickhead instead of helping me leave on time." She sniffed, wiping away a stray tear that had rolled down her cheek. Harry instantly went to wrap his arms around her but Marley gently shoved him away. "Don't touch me, please."
