Y/n L/n was an independent woman of great pride.

She valued her work and her everyday routine and the fact that she didn't have a husband.

Y/n L/n was not proud of one thing in particular. The fact that she helped a man cheat on his wife and that his wife didn't know.

Until he heard that the man's child is now on trail for murdering a kid. And then he was proved not guilty. And now a car accident and more of a chaotic story. And of course shes the only phycologist in Newton that would take them.

"Y/n please." Andy said over the phone. She rolled her eyes.

"Take him to Boston. I can not be involved." She said.

"No one knows." Andy said.

"And? It is tied to me. I can't do it I can't see your face and I can't see your wife and sons faces." She said. She rubbed her temple.

"I'm begging you y/n it is all I have left. Joanna told me to talk to you for appointments." He said.

Joanna was a very good friend. If she asked....

"Fine. Six appointments with Jacob. One with all three of you. And three with you and Laurie. But if you even think to bring anything up I cancel all of them for relation ties. If you try anything I will tell your wife." She said.

"Deal. Fine. Thank you." He said.

"First appointment is tomorrow with all three of you." She said.

First person pov

I took a deep breath and walked out into the waiting room.

"Barber family." I said. They all stood up.

Andy looked even nicer than he did thirteen years ago. He aged beautifully.

I smiled at all three of them and led them into my office.

They all took their seats at my couch and I went to my desk.

"So Andy right?" I asked him. He rolled his eyes lightly and nodded.

"And Laurie." I said.

"Yes." She answered.

"And Jacob?"

He nodded and smiled softly. He looked a lot like his dad.
He had a few faint bruises on his face. Probably from his accident three months ago.

"And just so everyone is aware if there is anything that I'm really worried about I have to tell someone. Other than that this process will strictly be between me and you three. And my last thing, Andy and Laurie do either of you want separate appointments? I can do one for each of you." I said.

"Yes!- yeah." Andy said a little too quickly.

I sighed.

"Okay mr barber when do you want this appointment?" I asked, grabbing my planner.

"Do you have any this week?" He asked.

"I have Friday at two mr barber. Does that work?" I asked.

"Yes." He said. I scribbled his name down and looked at the family.

"Let's get to it." I said. I looked at the family before me. Andy on my right, Jacob in the middle, and Laurie on the left.

"Who's talking first?" I asked them. "Tell me about your family."

Andy looked at Laurie and back at me.

"Andrew?" I asked.

"Right. So umm. Laurie and I were expecting Jacob when we were young. We had him and immediately fell in love. We got married. Uhh I'm the- I was the Ada. Now I'm just a lawyer. Laurie used to work at a children's home." Andy said. "Jacobs fifteen now."

Andy cleared his throat after that. Almost thirteen years.

I jotted down the notes.

"And the trial. How are we feeling after that?" I asked.

"Relieved that it's all over." Jacob said. I wrote that down.

"And the car accident. Laurie, Jacob how are we feeling?" I asked.

Andy shifted in his chair a bit.

"Better." Laurie said.

Andy gave me a look and I just wrote more down.

I asked them a few more questions.

"Alright. Next week this time?" I asked.

"Yup." Laurie said and got up.

I shook everyone's hand before they left. Once they were gone I sat back in my chair.

This was gonna be a long few weeks.
