Chapter Four : The Campaign Drive-By
EPISODE ONE OF SEASON FOUR
━━━ the hellfire club
WHEN THEY WERE LITTLE, Jason remembered his little sister always being shut-off from the world. Distracted, she could never focus on anything unless it was right in front of her face. When their parents divorced, he wished their father would've forced her to leave with them. He was convinced that Alice, their mother, made Moonie that way. It was a miracle that she wasn't too far gone by the time she died. At least that was what Jason strongly believed. Their mother was a curse, a rotten vein in the world that needed to be sucked out. The only thing she succeeded in doing was taking others down with her, and he knew for a fact that included Moonie. But Jason had learned a few things about his mother that his sister failed to see. She was a great source for manipulation tactics and narcissism. The second he and Moonie started high-school, each living with a different kind of evil, he got to work. Though he probably picked the worse way to go around it, he successfully convinced his sister to finally give a shit about her life. She started playing soccer, her grades turned perfect, she never missed a day of school, became the captain of the swim team, and she even started softball. A stuffed schedule with no free time to screw around and ruin 'his' progress, as Jason called it. He took all of the credit.
It made sense for him to be so controlling. Why when he saw his sister rushing across the gym floor during warm ups, cupping her nose with a bandana that looked all to familiar, he sent two of his teammates to go check up on her. Brotherly love, that's what he said. It was actually just him being a nosy son of a bitch that needed to know every single thing that went down in his sisters life. To find the source and eradicate it. Right now, all those bright red arrows were pointing towards the exit doors of the gym as Patrick McKinney and Lucas Sinclair ushered towards the locker room in search of Moonie.
Jason's eyes scanned over the gymnasium, his attention falling to the exit just in time to spot a lingering figure. Eddie Munson. He stood with his arms crossed over his chest, standing under the opened frame of the doors like he was waiting for something. He had the side of his index finger in his mouth, chewing anxiously at the skin before he caught the basketball players stare. And just like that, he leaned forward slightly before backing out of the exit━━ disappearing amongst the bright light of the sun that sat in the sky.
He walked her there all the way from the woods. Chrissy wanted to stay behind and try out the drugs she'd just purchased, although there were mentions of plans to meet up at Eddie's trailer after the game for something stronger. Moonie wasn't so sure if she was gonna go. But she wouldn't mind seeing the Munson boy again, and that was one of the many thoughts that preoccupied the space of her busy mind. Girls bathroom, face to face with a mirror was where she was. She lowered the crimson coated bandana from her nose when she entered, her blood stained hands pushing the faucet handles together to emit a flow of clean water.
