Sick. I felt sick. After getting front row seats to watch a friend get possessed, I suspected anyone would feel sick.
Marcy's screams of pain continued to echo throughout the underground throne-room. I felt so incredibly guilty. So horrified and worried for my friend, yet I couldn't do anything to help her. I just stood there like an idiot.
But what could I do?
I was helpless, along with Olivia and Yunnan, who were standing a few feet behind me.
Shortly after Marcy's body went limp from shaking and thrashing, she made sudden jerking movements with her now-free body. Then, the helmet lit up.
Eyes. Orange eyes. Big and small orange eyes, at least ten, opened and appeared on the surface of the helmet. They blinked all at once, before they looked down at General Yunnan, then at Lady Olivia, and then glanced and rested their gaze on me.
"Why, hello there."
The next thing I knew, my head hit the floor. I fainted on the spot. I couldn't handle it.
*Extra*
As you were unconscious, Olivia and Yunan were taken away into the dungeons by King Andrias's robots. You were not.
Darcy was the one who—very carefully—scooped you up and escorted you beyond the basement.
