-Actual One Shot-

*Your POV*

"How many toads does it take to screw in a mushroom light?" Hop Pop asked as he leaned over the dinner table.

"How many?" Grime questioned in a monotone voice, not impressed.

"None! They prefer utter darkness and the smell of blood!"

. . .

The whole table went silent and the atmosphere became very awkward, but I was too enveloped in my own thoughts to even notice.

As I sat next to Sasha, I tried to nonchalantly lean back in my chair to look around the table, only to stop and stare at a specific someone:

Marcy.

Marcy was always incredibly pretty, don't get me wrong

Marcy was always incredibly pretty, don't get me wrong. But tonight, she was just...wow.

As I watched her chat with the others, I couldn't help but smile when she giggled at whatever was being talked about.

"Cute, right?" Sasha suddenly whispered in my ear, making me choke on my water and spit it out on the blondes hair. She gave me an annoyed look, before smirking and raising her eyebrows at me teasingly.

"Shut up, Sasha!" I whisper-yelled back at her while hitting her knee under the table, which only made her laugh.

"Oh, come on. It's horribly obvious that you like her, N/n." Sasha paused as we both looked over at Marcy, who was in a deep conversation with Grime. "And it's obvious that she likes you too." My eyes widened, in confusion and in disbelief.

"No, there's no way she likes me. That's just Marcy being Marcy, you know?" I replied, sinking down into my chair a little. Sasha gave me a quick scowl and hit me roughly against the shoulder, making me sit up in pain.
