-Actual One Shot-

*Your POV*

It was my first day on the job at Thai Go.

I wasn't too worried to work there.  When I was interviewed by the owners of the restaurant, they were incredibly kind and sweet towards me.

I was just sitting around by the register, waiting for customers, when a girl around my age walked through the curtain that led to the kitchen.

It was then that I realized that this girl must've been the owners' daughter.  I had to admit, she was pretty cute.

"You must be the Anne that I've heard all about." I smiled and held out my hand.  The girl stared at me for a few seconds, before she quickly blinked and shook my hand.

"Uh, yeah!  Anne Boonchuy, that's me." Anne giggled nervously as she scratched her neck.  "And you're the new employee that my parents hired." I nodded.

"Yep.  My name's Y/n.  We go to the same school.  I sit behind you in most classes."

"Ohhhhh, now I finally recognize you." We both laughed and proceeded to talk with one another for the next few hours.

Eventually, my shift at Thai Go ended, and I clocked out, starting to pack up my stuff.

"Hey dude, where are you going?" Anne asked as she quickly walked over to me.  I looked at her after unzipping up my backpack.

"Well, I was going to head home, but I figured I'd eat something before I left." I paused to take off the green apron I was supposed to wear on the job, stuffing it in my bag.  "So, I thought, why not eat here?" I smiled as I walked to the other side of the counter, sitting down on one of the customer stools.

Anne laughed at me, before grabbing a menu and opening it to show me some of the foods that were available.

"Okay, so, I'm assuming you've never eaten Thai before, so I'd suggest getting the Pad See Ew." The Thai-American suggested as she pointed to one of the pictures.  I instantly raised an eyebrow.

"The what?" I asked, making her snort.

"Just trust me on this one." Anne winked, taking away the menu and skipping back into the kitchen.  I rolled my eyes at her, but chuckled anyways.

A few minutes later, Anne came out of the doorway with whatever she had suggested that I should order and placed it in front of me.

I held my fork out hesitantly.

"Oh, come on!  It's really good, I swear." Anne pleaded, staring at me with anticipation.  I slowly opened my mouth and tried some, realizing that she wasn't lying.  This restaurant was fantastic.  Anne sat next to me and we talked together while I finished eating.

Afterwards, I grabbed my backpack and finished getting ready.  I said my goodbyes to the owners, starting to exit the building, but Anne quickly intervened by grabbing my hand.

"It was nice meeting you, Y/n.  I'll see you here again tomorrow, right?" She asked, sounding hopeful.

"Of course you'll see me; we go to the same school, remember?  And, it was nice meeting you, too." We shook each other's hands before I left the small restaurant, waving to Anne through the window as I walked in the direction of my house.

It was only then that I felt something in my hand.  I stopped walking and opened my hand, finding a small piece of paper laying in my palm.  I slowly grabbed it and opened it up.

On the paper was a small message that read:

"Can't wait to get to know you better :)

P.S.  Here's my phone number (###-###-####)."

I grinned, putting the small note in my back pocket.

I couldn't wait either.
