*Your POV*

"I'll be here again to pick you four up at eight, alright?" Mr. Boonchuy explained through the car window.

"Yep. Got it, dad." Anne replied with a thumbs up. Her dad smiled as he drove away, leaving Anne, Sasha, Marcy and I standing at the entrance of one of the local amusement parks in L.A.

"You guys ready for some fun?" Sasha asked as we made our way through.

"Heck yeah!" Marcy exclaimed enthusiastically. "I can't wait to eat some carnival food!"

"Ooh, yeah! Like elephant ears!" Anne smiled and nodded in agreement with Marcy.

"I don't know about you three, but I'm excited to go on some rides." I grinned.

"Heck yes. That's the first thing we're gonna do." Sasha replied, giving me a confident smile. We paid to enter and got wristbands to ride. We all walked into the park, looking around. "Oh, oh! Y/n, let's ride that one!" The blonde jumped up and down and pointed towards one of the more thrilling roller coasters.

"All right! Let's go—" I was stopped by Anne, who was looking at me with a worried frown.

"Okay, you two. You know the rules. Don't separate, don't get lost, and—"

"And don't forget to have fun!" Marcy interrupted Anne's lecturing, grabbing her hand and leading her towards one of the food stands. Sasha and I laughed before running towards the roller coaster. Eventually, the two of us hopped into the front seat of the ride, ready for action. The ride started up, slowly bringing us up a tall hill.

I couldn't help but pause to rethink my life decisions up until this moment. The drop was starting to look pretty big.

"You scared, N/n?" Sasha teased, elbowing me in the arm. I scoffed and looked away, my face reddening in embarrassment.

"Pshh, no." I nervously replied, looking down at the ground, which was getting further away by the second. Sasha raised her eyebrow at me.
"O-Okay, fine. I'm a little scared." I confessed, beginning to grip onto the arms of my seat.

Sasha patted my shoulder with an empathetic look on her face.

"Don't be embarrassed. Hey, if it makes you feel better, I'm pretty scared right now, too." I smiled at her words, not feeling as worried as I was before.

"Thanks, Sash."

"Anytime."

The ride reached the top of the hill, and the two of us instantly grabbed each other's hands and braced ourselves for the fall. In an instant, the ride plummeted downwards, causing everyone, especially Sasha, to scream.
