• Take Note - You were left behind in Amphibia at the end of True Colors. Anne and the Plantars were forcefully transported back to Earth without you. Sasha and Grime had no choice but to leave you behind in the floating Newtopian castle.

• Plot - Darcy drags you around the castle and the two of you get into tons of trouble.

It had been around a month since I had met Darcy. 

At first, I thought they would act evil, cruel, and horrible.  I even imagined that they'd even go as far as hurting me.

I mean, could you really blame me for thinking that way?

Thankfully, that wasn't the case with Darcy.  In fact, they acted completely opposite of what you'd expect them to be.

Darcy was kind, and sweet, and surprisingly caring for someone who looked like they could kill you in an instant. 

As days went by, they seemed to warm up to me, as they started to be more open towards myself.  For example, they started greeting me outside of my room and walking me down to the kitchen.  Sometimes they would even go as far as finding and inviting me to join them for lunch.

I had came to the conclusion that having Darcy around made my time spent in the Newtopian Castle less lonely and agonizing.  Sure, I missed Anne, Sasha, and Marcy, but Darcy was...something else.

It was getting dark outside in the world of Amphibia. The stars began appearing in the sky, and the red moon started to rise above the clouds.

Currently, I was resting against Darcy, who was tinkering with a rubix cube in their lap. The two of us were sitting against one of the walls in the library, worn out after all of the mischief we had gotten into earlier in the day.

I had finally gotten comfortable and was about to drift off to sleep when I felt someone nudge me in the shoulder. I peeled my eyes open and looked towards them, only to find myself inches away from Darcy's eyes and helmet. They watched me for a few more seconds, seeming to find me quite entertaining.

"Follow us. We suddenly desire something to eat." Darcy replied, before gently grabbing my hand and pulling me up with them, taking me in the direction of the kitchen. I smiled a little as we walked together down the castles long corridors. It was only when I looked down that I realized Darcy hadn't let go of my hand yet.

I felt my face heat up out of nowhere, making me feel super confused and nervous.

What the frog was this? Was I sick??

I didn't have long to think about it before we had made it to the kitchen.

Darcy was already opening cabinets, throwing bags of candy and chips and making a mess all over the floor, yet, I couldn't help but laugh at their strange antics.

"Hmm...strange. We seem to be out of cupcakes. No need to fret; I'll have Andrias make us more." Darcy exclaimed, before, once again, carefully taking my hand and leading us back into the corridors towards wherever Andrias was. I raised an eyebrow.

Was it just me, or were they starting to hold my hand constantly on purpose?

Eventually, the cupcakes were ready and were handed to us on a silver platter. Literally.

"Here. Tell us what you think." Darcy commanded, before handing me one of the pastries. I looked at it before slowly taking it out of their hands, feeling my face heat up again.

"Aren't you gonna have one?" I asked, a little nervous as to why they weren't inhaling their cupcakes like they usually did.

"Technically speaking, we mostly just wanted to see you eat one and be happy." Darcy replied, before eagerly motioning me to try the cupcake. My face felt hotter than it had ever gotten before, and I couldn't seem to look Darcy in the eyes anymore after that.

Why was I so...embarrassed?

I turned away and took a bite of the pastry, my eyes widening as I realized it was pretty dang tasty.

"Do you like it?" Darcy asked, tilting their head in question.

"I-It's really good!" I stuttered, mentally screaming at myself for acting so weird in front of them. I saw their eyes widen, and before I knew it, I was being crushed in a hug by an excited Darcy Wu.

"We were confident that you would agree with us." They pulled away with a proud grin on their face, which I thought was adorable. I hadn't seen Darcy smile this much before, and thought they looked quite cute. "Hmm. You seem tired. Let us bring you back to your room." They offered, intertwining our hands for the third time that day and guiding me back towards my bedroom. Darcy began rambling about something, but I was so enveloped in my own thoughts to hear them.

I couldn't understand why I felt so weird around them all of a sudden. They started getting all clingy and I kept blushing and—

Oh.

"Here we are. I'm afraid we have other duties to attend to. Farewell, Y/n." Darcy spoke, lifting up my hand and pressing a respectful kiss to my knuckles, before quickly turning and running away, accidentally tripping on their cape (which was somehow on fire) and landed on their face.

I watched them fall and facepalmed.

I couldn't believe I was crushing on that dork.
