Chap 9: Calm before the Storm

The next day...

After encountering the Magicians from The Anglican Church and being notified about the white substance along with the rest of the Level 5's and some of the Level 4's, Kamijou Touma was enjoying a day with his parents.

Due to the big up-roar the white substance was causing around the world, Academy City was letting the parents come visit their children for a couple days just to make them less worried.

"It's fine Dad, I'm not lonely don't worry! You either Mom, I have a lot of friends in Aogami, Tsuchimikado... well not too much him... Fukiyose, Himegami, Miss Misaka-"

Touma was talking to his parents as they walked around the shopping district or, 'Seventh Mist' mall in Academy City. His father, Kamijou Touya nudged him with his shoulder.

"Oooo, who's this 'Miss Misaka' you're referring to? Could she be some lucky girl who caught your eye, never heard you refer to a woman with 'Miss' before unless she's a teach- OW!"

Touya got kicked in the shin by Touma's mother, Kamijou Shiina. Shiina was glaring at Touya with some very murderous intent, that's just how she was. But Kamijou quickly calmed them down.

"No no, she's just a lower class men of mine... though she goes to the top dog school, Tokiwadai. You met her before, remember? Brown hair, short, lacking in some 'areas' and very Zapper-like."

Touya and Shiina thought for a moment before Shiina had a light bulb moment. She remembered exactly who Misaka was.

"Oh you mean that girl sweetie. You two seem to be doing well together, how's the relationship going?"

Touma was slightly confused, though when the realization hit he kind of was taken aback. His cheeks brightened slightly as he nervously scratched his cheek.

"M-Mom it's not like that... I doubt she thinks of me that way."

Suddenly Touya interjected, as he had his lightbulb moment. Though he would soon wish he didn't.

"Ohhh you mean the girl who's mother tried shoving her massive chest in my fa- SORRY SORRY-"

He was getting glared at yet again... Touma kind of just ignored it for a bit. Thinking about what his mother had just previously assumed.

'She doesn't think of me like that, r-right? She's just a zapper, and she always is rude to me so there's no way she could think of me like that. But for some reason... why does my heart pound, I'm not scared like when it usually does. So what-'

Suddenly Touma's thoughts got interrupted as he seems to have ran into something. It was soft and squishy and on his face, he slowly looked up seeing none other than Misaka Misuzu, Misaka Mikoto's mother.

Seems he was getting a real face-full of her chest, though she didn't seem to mind.

"Oh wow, wait a sec... oh you're Mikoto's boyfriend!"

Touma went red, not because of the fact she called him Misaka's boyfriend, but because he realized what exactly his face was knee deep in. He immediately pulled away and ferociously apologized.

"It's alright, don't worry about it. Mistakes happen anyway, say are your parents also here Kamijou? Oh there they are... I'll go ask them something! My daughter is at the girls department if you were wondering."

After that, Misuzu ran off over to Touma's parents. Seemed they were talking about something, he simply turned around and began walking away. Though he did hear them mention another picnic, hopefully not like last time.

Index was actually sick, surprisingly enough she caught the flu because she was around some sickly people. She can't get diagnosed by Academy City since she isn't an official resident still.
