It was the day after the night before, morning to be exact.

It was no surprise Caesar was still conked out even though it was late morning, a lot had happened yesterday, so it was understandable. I, myself was still quite tired, yet sleep seemed to elude me.

I might be awake but I hadn't gotten up. I was still wrapped in Caesar's arms, my wolf softly purring in my head, the both of us perfectly content and my demon dormant, probably still in a food coma from yesterday.

I felt so warm... safe, like there wasn't a worry in the world. The even and slow thump of his heart beneath my cheek and the soft breaths stirring my hair, strong arms holding me tightly even in sleep, a scent made of sweet, wood and spice tickling my nose. I don't know if this was some postseason bliss but my infatuation to Caesar had jumped up a few levels and this... happiness warmed me from the inside, I can say that I haven't felt this good in... well... forever.

I could hear Ben and Shane downstairs, they'd let themselves in, which was very typical of Shane. They hadn't come upstairs and bothered us though, it wasn't too hard to guess why with the present they'd gifted Caesar. Bear hadn't come up either, which obviously meant Ben was spoiling him rotten, again, I swear, if he is sick or worse, Ben's clearing it up.

Caesar shifted slightly and let out a groan. "Hmm... what time is it?" he mumbled drowsily, already reaching for his phone on the bedside table and I rested my chin on his chest to look up at him, watching him quint his eyes at the screen, dropping the phone on the bed a moment later with a loud sigh.

"Do you have anything you need to do today?" I inquired and he gave me a sleepy smile, blurry eyes lightening a few shades and he leaned down to press a kiss to my forehead.

"No love, today I'm all yours." his rough morning voice replied.

"Well Shane and Ben have made themselves at home downstairs, so maybe... we could go out somewhere today?" I suggested, a little unsure what his response would be, given the still lingering threat of hunters in the area, not that we've gotten any recent reports of wolfsbane in the air, but that didn't mean they weren't around. It did worry me, even more so after yesterday. The reality that I could be bringing children, our children into a world with such dangers, they'd be born with a target on their back, for simply being what they are.

I did want to go out though, with Caesar, aside from the night we met we've only really gone shopping together and that didn't really qualify as a... oh... as a date.

From the slightly teasing grin on Caesar's face, his mind had gone in the same direction as mine. He stroked my cheek with his thumb and I vocalised the low purr my wolf made, his grin turning more into a smile filled with affection, his eyes now unmistakably yellow.

"I'm more than happy to take you out on a date darlin'," he assured. "I know our options are limited, but did you have anything in mind?"

I thought for a minute but found it didn't really matter where we went, as long as I was with him. Not that I knew the town very well yet, I was getting there but getting lost in the booming town, now more city was still pretty likely. "Surprise me," I said with a grin.

"Challenge accepted." he grinned back.

We needed to shower and get dressed before going anywhere, and it seemed Caesar was feeling the same blissful high I was as he couldn't seem to leave me alone for even a second, which resulted in us showering together. It wasn't the first time and surely wouldn't be the last. He didn't need to make the clichéd excuse that it saved water, I was more than happy for the company, and the shower was plenty big enough.

The warm water raining down on my skin felt wonderful, but it wasn't the reason for my pleasured sighs. Caesar carefully rutted into me from behind, the scalding warmth of his hands on my waist keeping me still despite how much I wanted to move with him. Shower sex was much harder than stories made it out to be, and much more dangerous.
