Kyle was over at Heidi's house. He didn't get to see Stan everyday now that he lived on on a farm. Kenny often had to help take care of Karen and Cartman was Cartman. So he needed more friends. He and Heidi got together a few months ago. They had gone to the movies, played mini-golf, go for walks in the park and more. The best part was Cartmans jealously. Seeing the fat tit glare at him made it even better. Stan was also glad to know Kyle had a girlfriend. Wendy suggested they go on a double date one day. Things were good for Kyle. Though he did have a secret. A secret only a few people knew. He was born a girl. Nellie. That was his birth name. A name he hasn't used since he was 5. His parents were supportive of him, of course. Ike was too young to know but he would one day. Some of the teachers knew as well. And the boys as well. As bad as Cartman was he never ripped on him for being trans. Cartman did have his own line to draw. He never made fun of Timmy or Jimmy. He knew had had to tell Heidi. It was only fare. She might dump him but she had to know. One day they were at her house watching Paramount + when he brought it up.
"Hey Heidi." Kyle started the conversation.
"Yeah?" Heidi was messing around on her phone.
"There's something I need to tell you. Something important."
"I told you I've forgiven your dad for being SkankHunt."
"No it's not that." Kyle informed.
"I also don't care where you were placed on the List."
"It's not that either. But thanks." Kyle rubbed the back of his neck. "Do you remember that time Cartman and Wendy pretended to be transgendered?" Heidi raised an eyebrow at this.
"Yeahhhh."
"But it was all fake. Cartman did it for his own selfish reasons and Wendy did it to teach him a lesson. Cartman only wanted to use the bathroom because he's a stupid lazy piece of shit who only cares for himself.
He didn't think how this would affect others but he did.."
"Kyle!" Heidi interrupted. "Where are you going with this?" Kyle hesitated for a moment.
"That wasn't always my name you know. It became my name when I was about 5." Kyle's heart was pounding "My old name was Nellie."
"Nellie? But that's a girls name. You don't see too many Nellies too." Heidi replied.
"Yeah. It's old fashioned and my moms old fashioned herself, usually. You see; I was born a girl." Heidi gasped.
"You mean you're you're..."
"Trans? Yep." Kyle smiled a bit. "I knew something was wrong really early on. I didn't spend my time with the girls as a little kid. It was always the boys playing ball and making dirty jokes. Stan was always there for me. Though thick and thin. When I told my parents the truth he was there with me. Kenny was always good too. Even Cartman took it well. Though he still ripped on me for being a Jew. So I became Kyle."
"But I remember you and the boys measured each others boy parts. You were in there too."
"I just made up a number. Something realistic unlike Cartman. I knew I had to tell you at one point as were dating. I know I'm not a genetic boy and will understand if you want to break up."
Heidi sat there for a moment looking at him before looking down for another minute. She then got up and left. Kyle looked down hoping that wouldn't happen. He didn't blame Heidi though. She deserved a real boy. He was about to get up when Heidi returned. She was holding a box and had an emotionless face. She sat down next to Kyle. She was silent again.
"Heidi?" Kyle asked.
"I-I never knew you and I would be so much alike."
"Huh?" Kyle cocked his head.
"I thought I was the only one in the school. But to know there's another person like me.... it's just...." Heidi cried a little. She opened the box and took out some pictures and gave them to Kyle. He looked at them to see what she was talking about. He saw both her parents in some of them. In all of them there was a young boy with brown hair. He looked to be around 6 or 7 in the most updated pictures.
"I Don't understand. Is this your twin?" Heidi took another thing out and gave it to Kyle. It was a birth certificate. It was listed as Henry Michael Turner. He also had the same birthday as Heidi. This is where it clicked for Kyle.
"You mean. You're you're..."
"Trans. Like you." Kyle was speechless. He couldn't believe Heidi was also trans. This had to be a dream. "I was never truly Henry. Not long before my family moved to South Park I cried to my mom how I wanted to be a girl. I told her my names was Heidi Marcy Turner. I transitioned before coming to South Park. Here I wouldn't have to worry about people making fun of me. I was always Heidi was far as anyone knew."
"How did your parents take it?"
"Pretty well. Mom was shocked at first but she came around. She even planned the party I had a year ago when you guys stole the paper forcene teller."
"Oh. Sorry." Kyle chuckled." Heidi laughed back.
"It's okay. It was my first girl party. Dad was pretty hurt at first. He's a big macho man so having his only son become his daughter hit a little. But he came around eventually. He even bought me my first dress and this hat." Heidi pointed to her hat with the flower on it.
"My parents were good from the start. I'm happy to know yours were good too. I don't get something though. Cartman said he saw your um, well...your girl parts." Heidi rolled her eyes and shook her head.
"Do you really think Eric would tell the truth on that?"
"I guess not."
"I almost told Eric I was trans. But we broke up before I had the chance. After he manipulated me I couldn't trust him. I've told some of the girls but that's it."
"I can't blame you too much. But Cartman seems to be okay with me. Maybe he'd be okay with you."
"Maybe." Heidi said after a moment.
"How about we tell the truth to everyone at school?" Kyle asked.
"What? Are you sure? What if something happens?"
"Don't worry. No matter what happens We're always have Stan, Kenny, Butters. Cartman, Wendy, and Bebe. And each other. Trust me."
"Alright. Let's do it." She gave Kyle a little kiss as they went back to their show.
