ClarkKent was many things. He was a reporter for the Daily Planet. He wasfrom Smallville. Oh. And he was Superman. The last one was a secretthough. To many he was the greatest superhero in the world. He alsoknew Batman aka Bruce Wayne. While the two weren't best friends ortalked too much they did help one another when they could. Lois Laneworked with him at the Daily Planet. While he wasn't working with herhe sometimes had to save her from his arch enemy Lex Luther or anyother wack job he battled. When he was a boy he knew he wasdifferent. But not just because of his powers.

"Mom,Dad; can I get my hair cut short?" the 8 year old Clark asked.Though that wasn't his name yet. Jon nodded.

"Sure, princess. If you want it shoulder length or a bit shorter I can-"

"No.Even shorter. Like yours." Jon and Martha looked confused.

"Likemine?" Jon questioned. Clark nodded.

"Butthat will ruin your pretty black hair." Martha said.

"Iknow. But I want it short." While his parents tried to talk him outof it at first they eventually cut it down.

"That'sme?" Clark look amazed. "Thanks Mom and Dad. You're the best!"His parents just passed it off as a phase. But soon he wanted more. When he was 12 he was going to a baseball game when he asked forsomething else.

"Dad.You mind if I wear one of my friends clothes to the ballpark?"

"Sure.Though if you want fashion advice ask your mom. She knows more aboutskirts than I do." But Clark shook his head.

"Imean one of my guy friends. I was thinking of wearing one of hiscollar shirts and jeans. He even said I can have them as he was goingto give them away."

"Youwant to wear boys clothes?"

"Well.I've worn boys clothes before. They actually feel more comfortable tome."

"Dothat even fit you?"

"Sure. He's a small guy so they will fit me."

"Peoplemight look at you funny."

"Theyalready do." Clark said with a smirk. So Clark wore men's clothesto the park instead. Throughout high school Clark became ashamed ofhis body. He wanted to have one more like his dad. While he wasextremely strong he wanted to look buff. So he started working out.He went to the gym after school. While he could easily lift thewights had had to start light so it wouldn't look suspicious. Soonenough his muscles grew.

"Ido gotta say, kiddo." Martha said. "Those muscles actually makeyou look pretty good."

"Iwish I could left more dumpsters." Clark joked. Though he stillmeant it a little.

"Sorry. We can't take any chances of someone seeing you." Martha replied."Prom is also coming up soon. We can do dress shopping if youwant." Clark gave a little smile." Or, if you'd rather we canrent you a tux instead."

"Youwould be okay with that?" Clark asked. Martha nodded.

"Itwouldn't surprise me at this point." So they did indeed get a tuxinstead. His parents looked impressed as he walked out wearing it.

"Wow!"Martha walked to him. "You look so... handsome."

"Thanks, mom." He have her a little kiss on the cheek.

"Youdo look great. Like the son I always wanted." Jon said. Clarknodded.

"Thanks,dad. That means a lot."

Clarkhad a lot of fun at prom. He ate, talked, and of course danced. Hewas surprised some of the girls wanted to dance with him. He waspretty sure they forgot who he really was.

"It'shard to believe that's really you." A girl named April said.

"Yeah."A guy named Zach replied. "Just 10 years ago you were like anyother girl. Now you're one of the guys,"

"Ithink I was always once of the guys on the inside. It just didn'tlook like I was on the outside." Clark replied.

"Soyou really want us to call you Clark for now on?" Zach asked.

"Yes.I've been thinking about it a while. I told the editors for theyearbook to even change my name to Clark. It's my new name."

"Howmany people have you told?" April asked.

"Afew so far."

"Ithink everyone knows already."

"Maybe.I'm not sure about my parents. They know I'm different but I haven'told them yet."

"Whenare you going to tell them?" April said.

"Tonight. When I get home. I'm hoping there will be enough time so when wegraduate I can walk down as Clark instead. I'm ready."

WhenClark got home he saw his parents were getting ready for bed. Thiswas it it was now or never. They were okay with the haircut. Theywere okay with the clothes. They were okay with him going to promlike a guy. He had to tell them.

"Mom,dad. Can I tell you something." Clark rubbed his head. He walkedover to them. "It's something important."

"Youwant to be our son." Jon said. Clark looked surprised.

"Youknow?"

"We'veknown for a while, kiddo." Martha replied. "It was always kind ofoblivious. Your dad and I talked it over and we both agree thatyou're our son."

"I'msorry. I didn't tell you sooner. I hid this away from you for years."

"That'sokay. Besides. We hid that spaceship away hidden away for years. Ithink were even." Jon smiled.

"Mom,dad. Thanks."

"Sowhat's your name?"

"Clark."

SoClark Kent became himself. His parents were able to have his namechanged for graduation and on his records. He took pills to deepenhis voice and get facial hair. Everyone was surprised by the results. He had top surgery as well. After that he was able to get his chesteven bigger and boulder. Now that he didn't have those two things inthe way it looked better. Within time he also became Superman. He wasseen as the greatest hero in the world. He worked at the Daily Planetwhere Lois Lane wasn't the wiser that he and Superman were one of thesame. While Clark was out he thought it was best no one knew Supermanwas trans too. He later told his journey to Lois.

"Ithink you had a more exiting journey than Superman did." Loisjoked.

"Changinggenders is more exciting than traveling though space and becoming ahero?" Clark chuckled.

"Hemight be a hero but so are you. Just in a different way. Still. Ithink both of you grew up discovering yourselves."

"Youdon't know the half of it." Clark said.
