"GwenStacy seemed to be an average young lady. She went to school, waspretty smart, had a father who was a police officer, and herboyfriend was Spider-Man. Maybe the last one wasn't so normal. Herfather George died fighting the Lizard. This left her mother, and herthree brothers Phillip, Howard, and Simon alone. She even had a goodjob young by working at Oscorp. She had a good life and a lot to bethankful for. She has her loved ones to thank for that. She remembersback to when she was little. When she was Glen. The Stacy's used tohave four boys until they found out their eldest was a girl. Shetransitioned young. While Phillip and Howard remember it well Simononly remembered it a little. It was a big moment for her family.

Georgewas reading the newspaper before leaving for his shift. He looked athis four sons eating breakfast.

"SinceI'm off on Saturday what do you boys think of going to a ballgame?

"Yeah.That sounds awesome." Phillip replied.

"Wehaven't been to one in forever." Howard said.

"I'venever been to one." Simon stated. Glen said nothing.

"What'swrong, son?" George said. "Don't you wanna go?" Glen playedwith his cereal.

"Idon't know. Maybe."
George knew Glen wasn't like his brothers. His brothers were more into sports while Glen was more into reading. He always shook it off as him being more of a nerd type. Though hehad overheard some people think of him as a sissy. There was one timewhere he cried over not getting a doll when he has little and how hehad more friends who were girls. George wasn't worried though. Hemight change as he gets older. But that really never happened.

"Comeon, boys. It's time to go get a haircut" Helen called. The otherthree boys came but Glen didn't.

"Notthis again." Helen muttered to herself. "Glen let's go!"

"Idon't want to get my haircut!"

"Ifyou don't people will think you look like a girl."

"Idon't care!" Glen shouted.

Helengave up at this point and left. Later George talked to him.

"Whydon't you want to get a haircut, kiddo?"

"It'sjust the style right now."

"Yourbrothers want their hair cut."

"Imean people my age." Glen said. George sighed.

"Whenyour ready to get a haircut just tell me.

Alittle but after that Glen wanted to go to a girls birthday party.

"Whywould you want to go to that?" Helen asked.

"Becauseshe's my friend." Glen replied.

"Areany other boys going?"

"Ithink so. But I don't care if they do or not. Girls parties arebetter anyway."

AgainGeorge tried to talk him out of it.

"Allthey're talk about is make up and boys."

"Girlsalso like movies and games dad," Glen argued.

"Whatif other guys from school see you?"

"Whatif they?"

"Won'tthey make fun of you?"

"I'vebeen made fun of before. I don't care."

Georgesaw this was going nowhere again and left. He wondered what was withhim. He wondered if maybe Glen was gay. He did seem to like fashion. He was still young though do it might be a phase. Sometime later aneven bigger event would occur. Helen was out doing some chores whenshe forgot something.

"Damn.I forgot to being the checkbook." She turned around and went backinto the house. After she went in she saw someone was in there roomupstairs. They didn't seem to notice she was there. She slowly andquietly went up their stairs. She peeked in her room and gasped. Glenwas in there trying on her clothes. He was wearing one of her dressesand heels. He was combing his hair in front of a mirror. He thentalked to himself.

"Youlook so pretty, Gwen." He said in a lower voice. "Would you goout with me." He then used a higher voice. "Yes, I will." Glenreplied to the comment.

"Havingfun?" The voice made Glen jump. There was his mom standing therewith her arms crossed. Glen was shaking at this point. His heartpounding,

"Mo-momI th-thought you were o-out doing ch-chores."

"Iwas. But I realized I forgot the checkbook. When I got home I sawsomeone was in here. I didn't expect this." Glen was silent.

"Isthere something you need to tell me?" Glen looked at her.

"Ithink you better sit down." They sat down on the bed. Glen wasstill dressed. He told her about wanting to be a girl. It was why hehated haircuts or made friends with more girls. He needed to be theirdaughter.

"You'llgoing to need to tell your father you know." Glen nodded. Theydecided to tell him that night.

"Dad.There's something I need to tell you."

"Hymm."

"I'm-I'm a girl." He looked at her.

"What?"

"I'ma girl. I always have been. I know you want me to be your perfect sonbut I'm not. I hate my body and I hate my name. I know you want totoughen me up but no matter what you do I want to be a girl. If yougive me the chance I can be the perfect daughter. Nothing will changeabout me other than my appearance and name. But I'll still be me."George sat for a minute.

"Ithink I've always known. You were always so different from yourbrothers. From other boys. You were always more like a daughter to bethan a son. And you are, I'm sorry for everything I did to you. I'msorry." Glen hugged her father.

"Inever hated you for it."

"What'smy daughters name."

"Gwen.My name is Gwen."

Withher parents help Gwen become her true self. Later in high school shemet and befriended Peter Parker. They eventually got together. Whenhe revealed his secret as Spiderman she knew she had to reveal hers.He took it well. Gwen thought that must have been the first couplewith a trans girl and a guy with spider powers.
