Sugar,Spice, and everything nice. These were the ingredients chosen tocrate the perfect little girls; with a dose of Chemical X. The extraingredient game the kids superpowers. With them they save the city ofTownsville from the like of supervillains such as Mojo Jojo, HIM, andFuzzy Lumpkins. It seemed Professor Utonium did create the perfectlittle girls. The only problems was one of them wasn't a girl. Benderwas born a boy. Professor Ulonium was confused. He thought theformula was correct. It didn't help that Bender thought the problemwas a mistake too. Bender was the leader of the trio. He had red hairand pink clothes. He was also the smart one being ahead of the otherkids at Pokey Oaks. Despite this he was often sad for not being agirl like his sisters.
"I'ma Powerpuff Girl too." The kid would always say.
ProfessorUtonium thought it was a phase that would eventually pass. But itnever did. Bender kept on insisting he was a girl. He caught him onmore than one occasion trying on his sisters clothes. It was aproblem at school too. Ms. Keane told the Professor how Bender toldher she wanted to be a girl. Bender had drown multiple pictures ofhimself with long hair and dressed like his sisters. Both theProfessor and Ms. Keane agreed to have a talk.
"Thishas been a problem for Bender since I made him and his sisters."The Professor said. "I was expecting 3 girls so I was surprisedwhen I got a boy. Despite this he acts like he's one of his sisters.He's even more girly than Buttercup. I can't tell you how many timesI caught him in his sisters clothes or playing with their toys."Ms. Keane nodded.
"Benderis an excellent student. He gets the best grades, helps otherstudents, and almost always behaves."
"Almost?"The Professor questioned.
"He'sstill a Kindergartner in the end."
"That'strue."
"Benderusually plays with the girls at recess or talks with them in class. Ithink that has resulted in some teasing from the boys. While youngboys and girls can be friends they usually stick to their own sex.Bender fits in more with the girls and seems to feel he is one."The Professor nodded.
"Totell the truth I'm been thinking of talking it over with him andstart an experiment. Let him live as a girl for a while to see ifthat's what he truly wants. I'll let him wear his sisters clothes andrefer to him as my daughter. He can also come to school as a girl; ifthat's okay with you."
"Ithink it is. A trial period may not be a bad idea. Like I said I knowsome of the boys heave teased Bender and this might result in more. Ithink you should take him to his doctor first and talk it over. BringBender with you so he can get his own feelings out. If he approveswe'll see where to go from there."
SoThe Professor took Bender to his doctor. There Bender told him how hefelt like a girl and wanted to be one. The doctor agreed with lettingBender be a girl for a bit. Though they were to start slowly. Only atschool and home was he to be addressed as female. If things went wellthey could go full time.
"I'mso happy you finally get to be my sister." Bubbles said hugging hersister.
"Yeah.Now we really are the Powerpuff Girls" Buttercup crossed her arms."Though can I have your old clothes?"
"Bythe way Bender." The Professor asked. "Did you come up with a newname?" All three of them looked at her. She nodded.
"Blossom.That will be my new name. Blossom. The commander and the leader."Bender was now Blossom. The Professor made the changes for school byregistering her as a girl with her new name. Blossom started to growher hair out; longer than her sisters. Sometimes the girls would bein their night gowns and brush Blossoms hair. Bubbles admitted ofbeing jealous of hers. One day the girls and the Professor surprisedBlossom with a present.
"Goneon. Open it!" Buttercup said.
Blossomopened it and gasped. It was a dress just like her sisters. Thoughrather then blue or green it was pink. It even had a bow for herhair.
"Theprofessor and I made it for you." Bubbles smiled.
"Ican't sew so I just watched. I did wrap it."
"Doyou like it?" The Professor asked.
Blossomnodded and cried. She hugged her family and thanked them. Now shetruly felt like a Powerpuff Girl.
