Kiryuwas walking down a street minding his own business when he heard avery familiar voice.
"Kiryu-Chan!"The voice yelled. Kiryu signed at this. Majima was one of his goodfriends. Best friend even. But when ever he showed up it often meanthe was in the mood for a fight.
"Majima-San."Kiryu greeted.
"Iwas just in the neighborhood when I smelled you from around thecorner."
"Smelledme...." Kiyru looked weirded out. Majima smiled.
"Iwould regonize your sent anywhere, Kiryu-Chan.
"Ididn't need to hear that." Kiyru replied.
"Anyway.I just got back from the store and they were out of my favoritesnack. So I thought I'd take my anger out on you."
"Youwant to fight because you didn't get your snack?"
"Snacksare my fuel, Kiryu-Chan. Like a car without gas I can't run withoutthem."
"Sigh...Let's just get this over with."
"Ihope you didn't just have a big meal because I feel like gutpunching, Kiryu-Chan." Majima smiled.
Majimacharged after Kiryu with an uppercut on the chin. Kiryu felt theforce but stood. Majima then threw a punch to his gut and a kick tohis thigh. Majima almost threw another punch but Kiryu blocked it.Majima then crouched and did a spin kick causing Kiryu to fall.Majima then tried to pile drive but Kiryu rolled out of the way. While Majima was getting up Kiryu grabbed him by the hair with onehand and punched him with the other.
"That'swhat I'm talking about." Majima smiled and bring out his knife.
Kiryuthen used his knew to kick him in the chin. Majima then tried toswing his knife but Kiryu grabbed the hand holding it and twisted it.He dropped the knife in pain and dropped. Kiryu then grabebd him fromthe back and turned him upside down. He then threw Majima into theground headfirst K.Oing him. Majima moaned in pain.
"Happynow?" Kiryu said panting. Majima chuckled.
"You'rereally back to your old self, Kiryu-Chan. No; you're even better.I'll be feeling this for weeks."
"Thatmakes two of us Majima-San."
"Justremember to keep one eye open. Though I would suggest both as I maysneak up on the side that's closed."
Withthat Majima left. The next day he was with Haruka at a restaurant.
"Sohow was school?" Kiryu asked.
"Good.Saki and I got the highest grade on our project. I also did well onour history test today." Kiryu nodded.
"Good. It's bad to fall behind in school. If you do that you'll never catchup."
"Isthat why you got into the messes you do that?" She asked. Kiryushook his head.
"Thoseare personal reasons."
"Likewith those weird scars on your chest?"
"...Yes."Was all Kiryu said.
"Iwish you could tell me though.
"You'retoo young to know, Haruka. There's a time and place for everything."
LaterKiryu was at home. He was laying in bed remembering his childhood.Back when he had a different name. A different body. A differentlife. He didn't start changing until just after high school. Heeventually got top surgery and took pills to deepen his voice and getfacial hair. For a while he didn't know anyone like him personally. That is until he met Majima. Majima was trans like him. The twotalked and eventually became friends; maybe a little too much inMajimas case. He went thought he same struggles though. He didn'tknow much about his past; he was usually quiet about it. Kiryudecided he was going to get Majima to come out about it. He needed toknow. So the next day he was at a bar with Majima when he decided toask.
"Thanksfor the drink, Kiryu-Chan. Though your only buying yourself timeuntil our next fight." Kiryu nodded.
"Iwouldn't expect anything less, Majima-San." They continued todrink. Kiyru decided to just get to the point.
"Majima. There is something I've been meaning on asking you."
"Askaway, Kiryu-Chan."
"Whendid you realize you were a man?" The air was silent. "When didyou find out you weren't a girl. I've known you for several years nowMajima-San. I deserve to know." Majima was quiet a moment beforespeaking.
"Iknew as a kid. Though it didn't really hit until high school. Oh howI wished I was once of the guys. I stopped wearing the girls uniformand started wearing the boys instead. It got be suspended and Ieventually had to go back to the girls. After graduation I started tolook for ways to change my body. There were various families who werewilling to help if I helped them. I eventually got top surgery from adoctor in an alley."
"Really? That's pretty dangerous and foolish." Kiryu said. Majima chuckled.
"Iknow. But I was desprite. I also got on hormones. Eventually I joinedthe Yakuza. Most of them knew nothing of my background. I was able torise up to become the man I am today." Majima finished. Kiryunodded.
"Ifound out in high school. While I often felt like a boy before Ipassed it off as a tomboy. I never wore the boys uniform or tried toprotest and declare I was a boy. Though I knew deep down I was. Ididn't transition until after though. I took hormones first to changemy voice and get hair. I didn't get top surgery until a couple yearsbefore meeting you."
"Yourscars were still visible. Mine faded pretty quickly. Though you and Iare very much alike and different at the same time."
"Ithink we've both got permanent scars and bruises from each other."
"Yes.In a way that makes us more of brothers. You're the brother I'vealways wanted."
"Dobrothers still fist fight when they're in their 40s?"
"Sure. It's all apart of the nostalgia."
"Nostalgia,huh?"
"Bythe way. Did you tell Haruka yet?"
"No."
"Youneed to eventually." Majima said more seriously.
"Whenshe's older."
"She'sabout 20 now right? If you're scared just admit it. I know the girl. She won't hate you for it. If you want I'll even be with you when youtell her."
"Aslong as you don't fight me right in front of her. She's seen enoughbullcrap for one life."
"Weall have, Kiryu-Chan. When do you want to tell her?"
"Tomorrownight." Kiryu quickly said.
"Good. That will give me enough time to sneak up up you, Kiryu-Chan."
"Majima-San."Kiryu said annoyed.
