Settling In

I put my suitcases on the floor and unzipped them, planning how to get everything put away. I walked over to my chest of drawers and opened the drawers and started putting my clothes away. I made it all the way to the bottom drawer where I was planning on putting my skinny jeans in, but instead I found a note. 'Look under your bed.' So I walked over to my full bed and lifted up the bed skirt. Every color of the rainbow. Seven pairs of low top converse were perfectly lined up under the bed. I smiled at the notes in all the left shoes. 'Can't wait to meet you, hope you like the shoes! -Ian', 'I guessed the size, hope you like them! I'll see you tomorrow. - Mari.', 'Gurl, We will be best friends. -Flitz', 'I hope you had a good flight can't wait to meet you! -Matt.' 'If you haven't already, look in the back of your closet. -Anthony.' 'Hey Lauren! Look in your desk... -Joven' and the last note had a picture of a unicorn shooting lasers out of its horn and I'm assuming it was from David 'Lasercorn'. I laughed to myself and walked back to my jeans and put them away. Hmm, where to look first. I walked over to my closet and crawled all the way to the back and felt something squishy. I pulled the soft fabric and got it out in the middle of the floor. I laughed because it was a donut themed bean bag. I set it in the corner where I wanted it before I put my empty suitcases in its place in the back of the closet. My room had a few pieces of matching furniture. A full bed, a chest of drawers with a small TV on top, a wall mounted bookshelf, and a desk with chair. My desk! I walked over and opened the middle drawer to find assorted markers and drawing pencils. I smiled and was glad Josh remembered how much I loved to sketch. I then pulled open all the other drawers finding a new laptop, a blank drawing sketch book, and a new Galaxy S4 phone. I hadn't ever had a really nice phone, so Josh's gifts meant a lot to me. I set everything up the way I wanted it and stepped back to look around. It wasn't home, but it was something. I glanced over at the alarm clock beside my bed - 7:30 PM. I might as well change into my pajamas seeing as I don't think we will be going anywhere. I grabbed them and started to pull my t-shirt over my head when my door swung open and Wes barged in. "Hey, do you want to -" "WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK WES GET OUT!" Wes scampered out of my room and I slammed the door behind him, quickly changing into my PJ's. I walked out into the living room sitting down on the couch. Josh was red in the face, and Wes had his head in his hands. "I'm sorry I yelled at you Wes. I didn't mean to scare you. And Josh don't murder him, it was an honest mistake." I went over and pulled Josh into a hug. "Do you want to order pizza? That's what I sent Wes in there to ask." I thought about it for like half a second and nodded, then Wes smiled and ran out of the room to order. I handed my phone to Josh, "I have no idea how to use this, and I might have been living in the dark ages." He laughed at me and messed up my hair. Josh proceeded to turn on the phone and show me how to use it. He had already programmed some people's numbers in the phone. "I trust you enough to let you do your own thing, but I work almost every day. So if you need to go to town for anything you can ask Wes if I'm busy. I hate to break down and be the bad guy either, but I'll pay you a weekly allowance if you keep your room clean and do chores." He winked at me and I laughed. I am a clean freak and I wouldn't think about keeping my room dirty. "Also, with the question of school. You can either go to the public school after the first of the year, OR you can start classes online."

I laughed "I don't even have to think about that one. I want to do online classes. It will be easier for me. And I will more than likely finish early" Josh gave me a look. "Well, if you do that you can come to work with me on the days I'm going to have to work late." "Why can't I just stay at home with Wes?" "Usually if I work late he does too. And I don't want you to be home alone at night." I looked at Josh curiously, but didn't question it because Wes came in with pizza. We all grabbed a slice and I ate until I felt I was going to pop. I laid on the couch and watched Josh and Wes play some video game before falling into a deep sleep.
