Ian. God damn it! This was going to be so hard to buy for him, especially since he is the one who can everything he wants. "Okay everyone, now that you have your secret Santa person, the office party is in ten days! So I know it's kinda last minute, but don't you dare tell anyone who you got. We don't want a repeat of last year." She glared at Flitz. "I didn't mean to let it slip out." "That's what she said." Everyone looked at me. "What I'm pretty sure that's how Ian got here." All the guys ooh-ed and laughed at my jokes. Ian got mad and left the room mad because he knew the joke was on him. I guess today was just not his day. "Okay that's all for today! See you all Monday." That was cue to go home. I was so glad to get out of the office. I got in the car with Josh as he pulled out of the office parking lot. "Aren't we waiting on Wes?" Josh shook his head. "No, he said he had something he had to go do." "Oh." "By the way this is for you." Josh handed me an envelope. I opened it. I was my first week paycheck. $350. That was pretty awesome. We made it to the house and settled in on the couch and started to watch a movie. I fell asleep on the couch, and I guess Josh must have turned off all the lights and covered me a blanket.
I woke up to someone shhh-ing another giggling. I didn't think much of it until I thought, what the hell? I heard a huge thud and decided to investigate. I walked down our hall, hearing weird noises coming from Wes' room. The hall reeked of alcohol. His door was cracked, what I saw couldn't be unseen. He was with another girl. I darted into my room. I started grabbing clothes out of drawers and shoving them in a duffle bag. I couldn't stand being in the same house knowing he was... I grabbed my backpack and left the house, slamming the door behind me. I didn't give a shit if they heard me leave I was too pissed off. I took off walking. I didn't know where I was going, but anywhere was better than there. I walked for two hours and made it to the office. I swiped my key and entered the building, making my way to the game room. I was mad and I needed an outlet. I turned on the Xbox and logged into GTA online. I turned into my serial killer alter ego Laurecorn and destroyed everyone. I felt a little better but I hated myself. Mostly for believing that Wes wasn't 'that' kinda guy. Just because he gives you a little attention doesn't mean he's the greatest guy in the world. Eventually, they all turn on you. I kept thinking about how much I hated my life. I truly did. If I didn't have my job, Mari, and the guys, I would probably just give up. I love my job at Smosh Games. I felt really unproductive at times, but being able to look online and see the videos make people laugh. Surprisingly the response of the videos are really positive, and people are really 'ship' crazy. Just because I did a video with Ian I had hundreds of comments about LaurIan. Same with Matt. The fans were super supportive, but don't get me wrong there was hate just not any that hurt my feeling enough for me to find the fuck to give. Mostly people who couldn't spell or jealously raged fan girls. I laughed to myself and continued to kill all the people.
I sat in front of the TV for hours, when I looked up from my game in was six thirty in the morning. I paused and got up to get some coffee. I poured water into the pot and situated the filter with grounds. As the machine took its sweet time making the juice of life, I went to get a cup out of the cabinet. I heard a voice behind me. "Hey what are you doing here? You don't have work today!" I turned to see Ian still in his pajamas, standing in the doorway. "I- um. Well you see, I- Wait, why are YOU here?" "Don't think you are going to get out of my questions. I am here because I got a text alert from building security saying that you had swiped your ID to get in after hours. Now I think it's a good time to explain. Why are you at work, in the middle of the night, on your off day?" I scratched the back of my head. "I just- um- needed to leave the house. I thought this was as safe place as any..." "So Joven brought you to the office?" He gave me a sideways glance as I shook my head. "Then how did you get here?" "I walked."
"Something is going on that I don't know about, but I'm just glad you are okay." He didn't press the subject, instead lightening up the subject. I finally got my coffee and it was just what I needed. Ian kept talking about what they were having to film for the main channel. That was another reason he was here, I was just the reason he was here so early. "So do you wanna go and get something to eat?" I smiled at him. I was actually starving, but I didn't feel like leaving the office. "Nah, I'm just going to go back to killing all the people online." He laughed at me. "I'll bring you back something, but first I have to go back to my house and change clothes. See you at about eight." With that he left me alone and I went back to playing games. As he said, he came in at exactly eight and handed me a bag of food. "Thanks." "Anytime." He watched me play while we ate together and talked about everything from donuts to video ideas until the film crew showed up at ten. I ended up changing over to Lasercorn's computer to play a different game. Goat Simulator. It made me laugh. Really hard. I messed around with it for a while before getting bored and just messing with his computer in general. I changed the wallpaper to girly flowers and his password is no longer LASERCORN it is now laurenisthegreatone. His account icon was an epic picture of me. Just epic.
