Through the Door

Josh was shaking me violently to wake me up. "Lauren are you Okay?" I stared him in the eyes. Wait, how the hell did he get in here? I sat up in my bed and found my answer all over my floor. My door was broken into pieces, shattered all over the place. "Lauren are you okay? You weren't answering us, we had to break down the door to check on you." I nodded my head. Josh looked at me, knowing something was wrong, but knowing him he wasn't going to the try and pry it out of me. "So, are you going to work today?" I nodded. As much as I didn't want to, I had to. I got up and started putting on some jeans. I picked out a nice blouse that I had bought with Mari. I looked at myself in the mirror. I didn't recognize the girl looking back at me. She had dark circles around her eyes and the former sparkle was gone. She looked dull and hopeless. I put on makeup to cover it all. It was better and I looked great. I just knew. I was that dull and hopeless girl. I grabbed my bag and went and waited in Josh's car.

Wes knocked on the window and I opened the door. "Hey, Joven has an appointment and won't be at the office until later. So we are taking my car." I got out and switched vehicles. We made it to the office after stopping and getting drive thru breakfast. As I was about to get out, Wes grabbed my hand. "I think you look really pretty. I just wanted to be the first one to tell you today." He leaned over and kissed my cheek and got out. We went in the building and I made my way to my desk. I was pissed. There was a vase of roses on my desk. Just as beautiful as you –Ian. I grabbed the note and ripped it to pieces.  I took the flowers to Ian's desk in the other room and left them. I was glad he wasn't in yet or I would have shit myself. I made it back to my desk and turned on my computer. Once again, Anthony had made a list of things for me to do. Mainly editing bonus videos and watching videos someone had already edited, looking for visual errors. I plugged my headphones into my phone to listen to some music while I worked. At lunch time I saved my work and went to find Wes. I had brought my lunch today so we sat in the kitchen and ate together. He talked about projects he was working on and I just sat and listened. He acted like we were having a normal back and forth conversation. He didn't bring huge attention to us, and I was really grateful. I wanted it be normal, I truly did. But I was just the dull and hopeless girl.

When lunch was over I went back to my desk. I was about to get back to work, but I heard someone walk in the room. I turned around in my chair to see Matt standing there. He pulled up a rolling chair and sat down. "I might be stepping out of line saying this, but if you need someone to talk to I'm here for you. I know Mari, Joven, and Wes probably tell you that all the time, but I just want you to know I care about you. You are like the little sister I never got to have. I ju-just don't wanna see anything happen to you." Matt had started crying. "God damn it I said I wasn't going to cry!" I pulled him into a hug not knowing that was going to cause me to cry. I finally let go and wiped my eyes. "I'm going to go back to work now, but you better not forget!" I smiled at Matt then returned to my computer. I was pretty close to finishing, might as well just speed this up. About an hour later I was done and submitting it in. I sat there trying to figure out what I could do to entertain myself while Wes and Josh worked. Tonight was one of those nights that they were going to have to work late, so I needed to find a place to get comfortable. I put my bag in my desk drawer and headed towards the 'lounge'. Basically it was the room that had a couple of huge tables, some bean bags, and a couple of game consoles set up. I pulled up a bean bag and started the Xbox. I got through all the lame start up stuff. I just wanted to play some GTA V. That was all. I couldn't figure out how to log out whoever was logged into their Xbox account. Oh well whoever it was probably wouldn't get too mad, no harm no foul right? I started playing and I assumed it was Mari's account, you know the character was an Asian woman. I played for about 45 minutes, and I saw a player join the server. AtomicMari has joined the server. Then who the hell was I playing as? I got curious and texted Mari- 'I am playing GTAV and I see you, I am the Asian. Who the hell am I playing as!?!??!?!' 'Ian. Ha-ha, He forgot to log out. You need to wreck his game... Avenge me, for the time he did it to me!'

I remembered watching that video... Well I know what I'm doing for the next few hours. I settled in and wrecked his game, spending all of his money, buying all the weapons and going on a killing rampage. By the end this game, he had no money, no ammo, and all of his cars were impounded. I would love to see his reaction to finding that. Josh and Flitz walked it and saw what I was doing. "Lauren, did you just? Holy crap you did!" David and Matt came in the room to see what was going on. David looked a little concern. "What kinda shopping-murder-troublemaking spree do have to do to screw him like this?" I just shrugged. Flitz bragged about my countless kills of Anthony yesterday. "You are a GTA serial killer too? Awe you are going to make a cute Lasercorn Jr. We shall call you Laurecorn!" Matt laughed. "It's only funny because we know he is going to cry." Josh and David thought it was just too hilarious. "Me and Joven are going to go grab some pizzas from dinner, so we shall be back in a little while." I waved to them as they walked out. "So Sohinki what are you up to?" I felt like it was okay to talk. I felt comfortable enough to talk to Matt, I just needed some time to just be by myself. He looked kinda shocked. "I was going to record a BackSeatGaming and I was kinda wondering if you wanted to do it with me." "Sure, what game are we going to play?" I was thinking about playing Food Battle, but if you have another suggestion..." "No that sounds good, let's do it." We went back into the game room and set up the equipment then started playing. I had so much fun playing with Matt that I forgot that the Camera was on and recording my every move. By the time we got done, Josh and David came back with pizza and we all ate pizza together. While the guys wrapped up work for the day, I continued to play Food Battle on the iPad. I got stuck and killed a few times. By the time I got half way through, Wes came and said we were leaving. "Would you wanna go get ice cream with me?" "Sure." Wes smiled down at me. Going to get ice cream was really great and we made our way home. I leaned over the seat towards Wes and pouted at him. "Nope, that's not going to work on me young lady. Go on inside, I have to unpack some equipment from the trunk." He kissed my cheek as I grabbed my bag and got out. I went in the house. Heading to my room, the light was on already. I was kinda confused, but it was late and I just wanted to get in bed. I walked into the door way, shocked to see my door still broken apart in the floor, but that wasn't the most shocking thing. He was sitting on my bed waiting for me.
