Fate's POV
'I am so sorry, my son. My dear son, Ink, if you can hear my thoughts, I am very sorry. I couldn't believe myself that I am doing this but this is the only way I could think of.'
I got lost in my thoughts as I gaze my eyes towards Error and Ink. Both were playing with each other. Laughter can be heard around those two.
"They must be having fun" I stated the obvious while mumbling to myself with a smile on my face. Seeing those two frown breaks my heart. I then suddenly reminded of the current situation which made me frown.
In this Multiverse- MY Multiverse in fact, is overflowed with creators. It may seem lucky to others but it is a cursed to me. When there is tons of creators, the multiverse would be full in a rapid speed. So much so that I can't keep up and that is a huge problem as many viruses and hackers has been roaming around freely, infecting the surrounding AUs.
I don't wanna do this but the only solution for me is to make Error and Ink agree on their assigned jobs.
——sometime later———
"Come on, sweetie, do it for mommy?" I begged at Ink, who was crying. Error was angry. "No! No! I don't want to leave Ruru! I don't wanna do responsibilities!" Ink shrieked. I was getting annoyed at his constant shrieking as I am stress as it is.
"You listen to me, brat. You do what I say! I am your MOTHER!" I shouted at Ink, who stopped and looked at me shocked. Error too was shocked at my yelling. After a few seconds, Ink cries even harder this time. Error was planning on comforting Ink but I have enough of it.
I snapped and uses my string magic to get hold on them both. I placed Error a few meters away and tie him up while lifting Ink closer to me. "Momma! Momma! What are you doing?! It hurts! Please stop!" Ink whined as my strings tugged on his soul.
"Listen to me Ink. I know what's best alright? Don't question my actions." I said while gritting my teeth. Error was trying his best to wiggle out of the strings, but alas it was futile. I was getting angry, annoyed even, at Ink's nonstop high pitched shrieks and wailings that I accidentally shattered his fragile soul.
Ink let out a horrifying scream. Startled, I dropped him harshly onto the ground. I covered my ears and close my eyes tight as Ink was still screaming in pain. Then suddenly... silence.
Hesitantly, I open my eyes and slowly lower my hands from my ears. There, in front of me is the body of Ink. Laying lifelessly, staring at me with his plain white eyes. Ink, who was a very cheerful and determined young skeleton of mine.
I hastily picked him up gently. He, in return, did nothing but stayed still like a doll meant to be played with. "My baby... my son..." I was in disbelief. I didn't meant this to happen. Error looked at me, horrified and angry, witnessing the whole scene in front of him. So angry that he was determined to get out of the strings, hoping to see if Ink was okay.
I quickly made Error unconscious to think clearly on what I should do next without any distraction. "I have to erase their memories. I have to! It'll be one less problem for them in the future. They would understand my decision. They have to." I tried convinced myself.
With nothing else to lose, I erased both their memories and decided to force them to do their job when they wake up. And that's what happened for so many years.
Ink and Error, doing their job without knowing they have known each other before all these disasters even started. They don't need to know, it was unnecessary as it will only create problems. It is going according to my plan.
I am still guilty on doing it to them but they HAVE to understand that it was for the greater good. They have to save the AUs. Ink have to check for viruses, hackers and have to stabilize the AUs. Error have to destroy some of the creations so the multiverse won't be too full.
I hope all of them would understand why I am doing this. Including the creators, the other deities, all created characters, even Ink and Error. I hope- no, they would understand. They will understand why I am doing this.
They just have to.
There is no other choice but to believe me.
To trust me.
To love me.
