Licorice is hated by most peoples tounge,
Most wish the treat to just expunge,
Maybe one day they'll realize how much they begrudge.
Because licorice is bitter and black on the outside,
But that's just looking at the downside.
While it's not the most preferably candy,
You don't always have to worry yourself dandy.
While it's harsh on the outside, on the inner it's soft,
Using it's brain instead of it's heart,
I think that's how you become after seeing them dropped.
Their only love, sweet candy cane, broke into a thousand pieces,
And when knowing that, I think I get where they get their ideas.
