❝She's back. Eloise is back.❞

"Those who were picked for Director Love's project, please see me at my office." Eloise had been anticipating this since the beginning of her first year at college.

Director Love is an influential movie director that almost every aspirant in the film industry was looking up to. She directed hits after hits during most of her career. She recently announced that she will be directing her first documentary, and is looking for interns to join the production. Eloise did everything she could to secure one of the four available internship positions, and she was indeed successful. She found the prospect of working with her idol to be completely absurd. But it's finally happening.

However, she intended to put her fangirl side aside and act professionally. Director Love is not the type to entertain or even amuse her admirers.

"I'm going to be giving you your employee passes. Don't EVER lose them. You four will be starting tomorrow. Do anything to not start a ruckus and be very careful not to destroy any of the equipment. Lastly, do not offend any of the official team members of the production. Did I make myself clear?"

Eloise and the three other students said yes in unison. She left her professor's office and stared at the pass with a red lanyard that was given to her earlier. The pass had her name written in red text and the word "intern" was written at the bottom of her name. She caressed the laminated pass with her thumb and handled it with care as if it were a treasure.

But it is. This was really precious to her. This is like the ticket that will lead her to her dreams. She'll finally see Director Love in the flesh.

The documentary is called; "The Secret Life of Healthcare Workers"

Maximo Health Services was the location for their filming. which was the hospital her university-owned.

Everything intimidated her. While Eloise and the other interns sat around doing nothing because no one had given them anything to do in the first place, she observed the members of the production crew performing their duties.

"You." Eloise snapped out of her thoughts, looked up, and instantly stood up from the cold metal chairs.

"And you, there should be a couple of cafes around the area. Buy some coffee for the crew, it's so early. Everyone needs fuel," A random employee ordered them. Eloise assumed that he was one of the producers of the documentary.

"By the way, Director Love doesn't want her coffee with any creamer in it."

Eloise and the other intern went to the hospital's cafeteria to buy what they needed to buy, using Director Love's credit card. YES! Director Love's card is in Eloise's hand.

"Are you okay? You look like you're about to cry." Eloise removed her eyes from the card she was holding.

"What? No. You're hallucinating, come on let's go."

"What year are you in?"

"I'm a fourth year."

"See? You're about to finish your pre-med and you don't even know the basic etiquette? When did a doctor ever handle a patient without gloves? Hm?" While being yelled at, Miles fixed his gaze on the ground.

He made a serious inconsistency. Miles had to take care of a patient with a minor injury on his own after the doctor he was assisting was abruptly paged for emergency surgery. With the exception of the fact that he neglected to put on gloves, he panicked so much yet handled it well.

"You have been an intern here for two months. Do you come here only for the pay? You came here to gain knowledge and observe!" Miles could hear his boss say more things, but his focus was drawn to a figure behind him, thus he was unable to understand anything that was being said. It's like he was underwater. Every sound was inaudible to him and his eyes blurred everything except for the person he saw.

He saw her, casually walking with someone he isn't familiar with. He knew that they went to the same university. But his life was mostly locked up in his dorm and at the hospital, to the point, that he never even saw her once.

"Are you even listening to me?" Miles looked down.

"I apologize. I made a mistake. This won't happen again." His boss dusted his blazer and left him with all the patients, guardians, and nurses staring at him.

"Don't mind Dr. Vegas. He's always like that." Someone with a foreign accent showed up with a small box of milk. Miles politely thanked him and, under pressure, sipped the milk.

"I assume that you don't know me. I'm Dr. Hughes. I'm from the Pediatrics department." The mysterious but friendly guy extended his handasking for a handshake. Miles hesitated but didn't want to leave this guy hanging and eventually shook his hand.

"You're transferring to the Pediatrics department, under my care to be specific. I received your file earlier and it looks like I got someone special." His sugar-coated words made Miles shake his head.

"Someone special that forgot to put on gloves," Miles muttered under his breath. Brahms chuckled at Miles' statement.

"Everyone makes mistakes. I doubt Dr. Vegas never made a mistake in his life as a doctor." Miles appreciated his reassuring words, but it's not working.

"I remember, I was asked to draw a patient's blood and accidentally broke the syringe. The needle got stuck in the patient's arm and I got an earful from my superiors."

Miles slightly smiled as his story made him a little better. "Anyways, I need to make my rounds now. See you around!"

Miles threw away the empty tetra pack at the nearest dustbin and stuffed his hands inside the pockets of his lab gown.

Miles heard that some filming was going on and he was curious if he was going to be a part of it. He was walking slowly, his mind wandering by itself.

He had no idea what was going on today. He is absent-minded as always, but today is by far the worst because it is only the beginning of the day. When he felt someone jolt his back roughly, he abruptly snapped out of his train of thoughts. In frustration, Miles unintentionally clicked his tongue.

"I'm so sorry. Good thing I didn't spill on y-" Miles stared at the person with wide eyes. His immediate reaction was to flee from the situation, so he did just that.

She's back. Eloise is back.
