Are girls even attracted to bad boys these days?

Eloise never expected that her little date with Miles would actually be fun. He had a sense of humor she never knew about. He was usually quiet and would only smile when some funny things are happening. But seeing Miles make effort to make her laugh, she felt his sincerity. An introvert literally transformed into a comedian just for her.

Eloise was a bit sad that their bonding was cut short because of his internship.

Entering Maximo Health Services while not on her internship felt odd for Eloise. Miles insisted on sending her back to the dormitory but Eloise requested to walk him back to the hospital.

Miles wiped his hands on his pants and waved goodbye. Eloise watched his back disappear before making her leave.

When she turned around to depart, her face collided with a muscular body. She felt the person's hands on her shoulders.

Eloise looked up to discover the face of the person, only to realize that it was Brahms.

"Careful Luv!"

"Dr. Hughes?"

"That is Brahms to you." He grinned and tucked his hands inside the pockets of his pants.

"I don't see anyone filming today. What brings you here? Are you hurt?" Brahms bombarded her with questions.

"Miles Bailey and I ate some lunch."

"Oh, you and Mr. Bailey?" Brahms sounded displeased. "Did the two of you get close that fast?"

"We used to be in the same batch back in high school," Eloise explained.

Brahms now understood why the two are so close. It's always been a mystery to him how, despite the fact that Brahms hadn't known Eloise in a long time, she was able to make friends with Miles so quickly.

"I see. I have to assist a surgery in an hour. See you around."

Brahms' hand traced the wall until his fingers came in contact with the light switches.

His house became brighter within just one flick. He threw his bag to his couch and removed his jacket. He went straight to one of his bathrooms and adjusted his shower to a hot temperature.

It was always a long day for him. He never went home lively because of how packed his schedule was. But thanks to Eloise, he managed to go home the other night with his body full of excitement.

It was the night when he met her at the wedding.

He stripped his clothes and hopped into the shower. His body felt so good when the hot water touched his skin. After interacting with tons of people, a hot bath is just what he needs.

The same scene kept replaying inside his mind. It was quite obvious that Miles was fond of Eloise. How does he know?

Brahms never closed the door. He heard Miles ask Eloise if she had eaten dinner, and he even heard her response.

He knew that it wasn't just jealousy that he was feeling. Perhaps insecurity also came with it? He wasn't sure in the first place whether it was worth it to shoot his chance with Eloise. Miles and Eloise had history, that's what mattered. They knew each other before.

He saw the two of them send their farewell to each other when Miles went back to the hospital to start his shift earlier. They looked compatible. They're the same age, and they knew each other longer.

Brahms snapped out of it and wrapped up his emotional shower. He dried himself with a towel and changed into his pajamas.

He sat down on his desk, with his computer in front of him. He told himself that he shouldn't think about this stuff. What if he gets distracted in the middle of surgery? What is he going to do?

He started overthinking again, completely ignoring the pep talk he just had with himself five minutes ago.

Miles looked like a hot guy that came from a 2000's film. He had the cliché hair and the green eyes that can lure you. He looked like the bad boy that every girl wanted, except for the fact that he is actually nice and shy.

Are girls even attracted to bad boys these days?

Brahms looking too boring compared to him, while Miles looked like a combination of Dean and Jess. It felt pathetic; how he was getting insecure over the younger guy that he mentors.
