❝I have mayo on my face, don't I?❞

Eloise remained in class, awaiting the end. Her professor discussed everything and not a single thing came out of his mouth that intrigued her.

She isn't interested in the things being taught in this class as this class doesn't even have any connection to videography. This was just a class that she had to take since all of the other classes she desired are full.

They were finally dismissed after two hours of her yawning every five minutes. She took her time packing her belongings because she wasn't in a hurry today as she didn't have an internship.

"Eloise, someone is looking for you outside." Bridget was most likely expecting Eloise to join her for lunch. She slung the strap of her bag to her shoulder and went outside the classroom. However, she didn't see a sign of Bridget.

Eloise felt a light tap on her shoulder. She turned around to see Miles.

"Uhm hi, Miles. What brings you here?" Eloise said with a rather awkward tone.

"I'm on my break, do you want to grab some lunch with me?" She debated where to use Bridget as an excuse to not go with him or just do it.

"Sure. Let me text Bridget really quick." Eloise sent Bridget a text to inform her of what was going on while they made their way outside the campus.

"Which food are you feeling today?" Miles asked after they were finally outside the university.

"I'm craving some sandwiches," Eloise suggested. Miles raised an eyebrow at her suggestion.

"You sure? Just sandwiches?"

The two walked quietly to the plaza where most of the restaurants and food stalls are located. There were also lots of vehicles around the area that were zooming on the roads.

Eloise decided to save the dead air and bring up a random topic. "Are your bosses still bitchy to you?"

Miles laughed at her question. "They're still like that. But I'm slowly getting used to it."

"I saw this doctor once when we were filming, and I noticed that he smelt like tacos." Miles giggled at her remark.

Eloise continued the conversation and ranted about everything that has been bothering her. Miles couldn't listen to her words even though he tried to digest everything that she was saying.

Several motorcycles are speeding by the sidewalk. Miles gently grabbed Eloise's arm and shifted her to his right side, making him the one walking beside the road.

A red motorcycle was driving in their direction, but luckily, Miles was alert enough to avoid the reckless motorcycle.

"Let's not walk here, it's too dangerous."

After going through the stressful street full of motorcycles, they finally reached the plaza.

"I like what I see!" Eloise exclaimed at the abundant amount of food stalls and restaurants. Miles pursed his lips to refrain his lips from forming a smile. This is what he admires about her the most. Her bursting energy never failed to make him optimistic.

Eloise's gaze was focused on the view by the window, which was the parking lot. She was laughing at some guy trying to cover up the scratch he accidentally made to a car beside his vehicle.

"What are you looking at?" Miles appeared with the food they ordered. "That guy. He-"

Eloise was unable to finish her sentence because of her laughter. "He opened his car door and it hit the car beside his. His face while trying to wipe the scratch is so hilarious."

Miles smiled at her story while he takes a fry and dips it into his drink. Eloise calmed down and stared at his face while he chews the french fry.

"You're still doing it," Eloise said as she pointed to the fries. Miles' mouth curved into a smirk as he ate another fry and dipped it into his drinks, not breaking eye contact.

"I'm a trendsetter," She proudly stated.

Eloise looked up from her food and was undoubtedly met by Miles' face. She saw his face about a billion times now but maybe it's the lighting that is making everything weird.

The sunlight coming from outside the glass window touched Miles' perfect skin. Eloise never knew that a couple of his dirty blonde hair slightly covering his green eyes would be this mesmerizing.

"I have mayo on my face, don't I?"

She simply shook her head and cleaned up the wrappers on their table.

"You need a haircut." Miles consciously touched his hair.

"Really?"

"They're covering your eyes." Eloise was baffled as to why she had said that in the very beginning. She wished that a random hole would pop up next to her that would escort her out of this world at this very moment.

"Then I will visit the barber's shop as soon as possible, for you." Miles wore a stupid smile that Eloise wanted to erase. He was definitely flirting. She was mentally begging for him to stop whatever he was doing because she might flirt back.

"You were going for a 90s Leonardo DiCaprio hairstyle, am I right?"

"Not really. This is just how my hair behaves. Why? Do we look alike?"

"You wish." Miles smiled at their progressive conversation. He liked this. Just the two of them chatting like they knew each other since forever and casually making jokes about each other.
