Joe saw the zombies first. He aimed his pistol and fired, one of the zombie's flying backward. Blood and brains splattered from it's head. Dave wheeled around and fired his gun. Joe thought this the perfect opportunity to shoot Dave in the back, but a man jumped on him from the ceiling, tackling him to the floor. He moaned with pain. Joe managed with all his strength to kick upward, sending the man flying into the bloodstained walls.

More zombies were pouring into the building.

Most of the gunfire had been directed toward the advancing zombies. Joe was grabbed by his leg and sent sprawling again—Tom jumped into action, slamming the man on the head and causing him to crumple to the ground.

“We need to get the hell out of here! We need to escape!” screamed Tom.

“I need to kill—Dave,” stuttered Joe. He was coughing blood. Joe wasn't looking good—his face was pale, smeared with crimson red blood, and his ribs were hurting and cracked.

“We don't have time we--” A zombie had reached Joe. He placed a pistol into it's head and pulled the trigger. Blood splattered from the top of its head.

“Come on!” screamed Tom.

“What I don't...”

Tom lunged at Joe and grabbed the collar of his shirt. He was driven into the wall.

“We need to GO!!!” screamed Tom. He grabbed Joe by the hand. A couple of more gunshots were fired and a man was slammed into the wall, a spatter of blood stretching across the plaster. Joe dashed toward the back of the building with Tom, the gunfire slowly diminishing as they ran toward the door.

A sudden explosion erupted from the front of the building just then and Joe pivoted around, seeing a flaming piece of a truck sitting in the building. A figure briefly flashed before his eyes before disappearing, swinging around toward the back of the building.

Joe fired his pistol and shot a zombie in the head, blood erupting from its skull. He turned around again and raced toward the back door, trying to get the hell out of there—but then Joe began to think about Ken and Linda and he suddenly stopped.

“What the hell are you doing?!” shouted Tom.

“I need to save Ken and Linda!” shouted Joe. He whipped around and jumped over a pile of blood bodies, sprinting toward a dim, dark hallway. The gunfire grew louder and louder and Joe ran, the world blurring right in front of him. He heard some more screams and moans.

He took out his knife and slashed it forward, cutting a zombie in the back of the head. The creature limped to the ground in a bloody heap and Joe just continued running, slashing at a couple of more zombies as he did so.

A rifle blast and he turned around.

Dave was advancing on Joe.
