We woke up at 3 in the morning, after 6 hours of sleep. Sasuke basically had to kick me out of the bed for me to actually start moving.
I grabbed my already packed bag pack and we headed out of my apartment towards the Uchiha compound so Sasuke could pack a bag of his own.
He lead me down the familiar streets for him, keeping his head down. I followed him silently, feeling like I was imposing in a sacred place, and it was for him.
We reached his house in utter silence. You could hear the flies flying around our heads. Sasuke opened the door and made his way down the corridors all the way to his room. I could guess he had stayed a few nights here, his smell all over the bed and his clothes. Sasuke took his already packed bag and swung it on his shoulder. He turned around to look at me.
-When all of this is done, how about we both move here together? He proposed.
Tears flew to my eyes thinking about what that implied. He wanted me to live in his house with him. I nodded calmly and he smiled before taking my hand and pulling me along with him. We left the Uchiha compound and headed to the gates of the village.
Kakashi sensei and Iruka sensei had come to see us off.
-You guys be extremely careful, Iruka sensei warned us.
-And don't do anything stupid, Kakashi added.
We nodded. We talked for a few minutes about the mission before making our way to the Land Of the Mist.
The walk was silent as Sasuke was on his guard. I wasn't worried to be attacked so close to home, but we could never be too cautious. We walked and walked in silence.
After a couple of hours, we took a break to eat a little snack. I gave Sasuke an onigiri I had packed and he munched on it.
When that was done, we got back up. Sasuke swiftly took my hand in his. I looked up at him with a smile. I got closer to him to peck his cheek.
We walked until night fall, where we decided to mount our tent close to a river. Once the tent was up, I decided to go wash up in the river. Sasuke wordlessly followed me. I tried to get him to wait until I was done, but he didn't want to. So, we both undressed and walked into the cold water of the river.
Sasuke appeared behind me, holding me close to his chest.
-Don't get any weird ideas! I warned him.
-Whatever do you mean? He said grabbing my hips.
I turned around to face him. He had a playful grin on his face.
-Sasuke, we should really focus on this mission. There's a lot at stakes. I explained to him.
-I know, but what am I supposed to do when you're naked right in front of me?
I sighed.
-This is why I didn't want you to follow me!
-Too late now, he mumbled as he started kissing me neck.
-Sasuke, I pushed him off. I'm serious.
- Okay, okay.
He let go of me and I was really cold, so we both left the river, got our clothes on and decided we should probably eat something.
Sasuke started a fire with his fireball jutsu and then left to go hunt a rabbit or something. I went and collected firewood and kept a close eye on the fire.
After about 10 minutes, Sasuke came back with two bunnies in his hands. He cut the skin off with a kunai knife and we grilled them on two wooden sticks.
I was hungry, so I finished my food very fast, Sasuke taking his time. I decided to go lay in the tent, tired after a good meal.
-Are you okay? Sasuke asked as he stepped in the tent a few minutes later.
-Yes, just tired.
-Okay, Sasuke replied.
He took off his shirt and hugged me from behind. He put his arms around me, pulling me closer to him.
-Sasuke... I warned.
-Don't worry, he chuckled. I'm not gonna do anything.
-Okay, then.
We laid there for a while until Sasuke started to snore lightly. I chuckled a little before turning and giving him a kiss on the head. Tomorrow was going to be a long day. I turned back around and fell asleep.
