Chapter 12: Staying with you

Levi's POV:

Once Hange packed her things we left her apartment and drove to my house/apartment. I opened the door to my house and welcomed her in.

"Where should I put my stuff?" She asked

"In the guest bedroom." I answered

She nods and made her way to the guest bedroom. I went to the kitchen and debated on what I should cook later. Suddenly, my phone rang.

"Hello? why did you call?" I asked

"Oh I just wanted to ask how you're doing there in Japan.."

"I'm doing fine."

"Are you busy right now? I'm sorry for calling you out of the blue" She laughed

"It's fine, Petra."

"Hey uhm.. could I ask you someth-" Her words were cut when Hange entered the kitchen.

"Levi, I'm going to the shop to buy some things, do you need anything?" Hange asks

"No" I say.

"oh alright. I'll be back in 20 minutes. Bye!" Hange says as she shut the door.

"Who was that?" Petra asked.

"That was Hange" I answer

"Oh, is she your friend?"

"She's my girlfriend" I admitted. I had to make it clear to her that I was taken. Even if she didn't finish her sentence I knew exactly why she called. But then again, was it a smart decision to tell her?

"Wait.. you have a girlfriend?" She asked in disbelief

"Yes, was what I said not clear?"

"Oh no, no.. I was just... shocked" There was a moment of silence before she spoke again "Well, I have to go now, see you when you get back, bye!" Then she hung up.

I placed my phone on the kitchen table and I walked toward the fridge. I skimmed the fridge to see what I can make for dinner.  Guess I'm going to make carbonara tonight.

I was almost done cooking the sauce when Hange arrived.

"Hey Levi, I'm back" She says as she placed her grocery bag on the counter. "What are you making?" She asked, peeping over my shoulder to see what I was doing.

"Carbonara."

"Mmm.. sounds good!, need some help?"

"No, it's almost done anyways"

"Ah, okay. I'll be in the guest bedroom if you need me." She smiles as she took her groceries and walked to her room.

I got out some wine, two wine glasses, two plates and two forks. I placed equal portions of pasta on her plate then I placed some on my plate, after putting the pasta on our plates I began to pour the sauce onto the pasta.

"Hange, dinners ready" I shout as I began pouring the wine into the wine glass. She came out of her room and her eyes lit up when she saw the food.

"Levi, this looks delicious!. Oh and some wine, you plan on getting drunk?" She laughs

"I don't get drunk easily." I say

"We'll see about that" She laughs as she sat down to eat.

"Oi that's enough wine for you." I say as I take the bottle from her

"Hey! I wasn't finished!" she says in a groggy tone as she tried to reach for the wine bottle

"What do you mean you're not finished? you've had several glasses already. You're practically going to fall off of your chair if you drink more."

"Oh come on shorty! just one more glass."

"No. I don't want to drag your ass all the way to your room once you pass out." I say

She laughs "Okay, you win."

I sigh. Geez, if I had known that she can't handle alcohol that well, I wouldn't have brought out the wine. Once I had cleaned up the kitchen and the plates, I escorted Hange to her room. I thought about telling her to brush her teeth first but she's way too out of it to do that. I gently laid her down and positioned her so she can sleep comfortably. I puled the blanket over her and placed a kiss on her sweet lips.

"Goodnight." I say before leaving the room.
