Chapter 34: Surprise!

Hange's POV:

"I'm taking you to the doctors. Whether you like it or not." Levi said as he handed me a glass of water.

Like usual, I puked again. Disgusting, I know. I thought that this would only last a couple of days... But days turned into a week and now, it's almost a month. I'm starting to think it's not a stomach bug... I fear that it might be...

I was stopped from my thoughts when he spoke again. "Go get changed and then we'll leave at noon." He says while gently brushing the stay hairs out of my face. I simply nodded and hugged him very tightly, almost as if I let go, he'll disappear.

I sat there. Anxiously waiting for the results of the tests. I know what it might be... And the thought of it  scared me.

"Well, Ms. Zoe, I have your results back." The doctor said. "The results say that you are healthy, no infections and you aren't sick because of an illness." She said.

"Then, why am I sick?" I asked her.

"Congratulations Ms. Zoe, you're pregnant." The doctor says in a cheery voice to make me less nervous.

The words echoed into my mind. Like a broken record, it played on repeat. A baby? Me as a mother? Could I handle this? How will I tell him? Wait, no... Should I tell him? Would he be mad? Would he leave me..? Again? All sorts of things flooded into my mind in those moments.

"Ms. Zoe? Are you okay?" The doctor said.

"Ah, yeah... I'm fine. Just a little.. Shocked" I say.

"I could recommend you to an obstetrician if you'd like, I know quite a few. They're very good doctors." She said with a smile.

"That would be great.." I say. "Thank you doc." I say with a smile.

"I'm happy to help." She says.

I got off of the bed and walked out of the room. As soon as I walked out, I saw him get up from his seat in the waiting room and he walked towards me.

"How did it go?" He asks.

"Well..." I said. It's not really a lie.

"Is there something I need to worry about? Are you sick? Did she give you medication?" He asked as he held my hand, walking out of the building.

"I'm not sick, and she didn't give me any meds." I say, fidgeting with my fingers on my free hand.

"If you're not sick, why were you throwing up?" He asked, the look of worry clearly plastered all over his face.

"Promise you won't get mad?"

"I promise" he said in a soothing tone.

"I'm.. Pregnant." I said flatly.

He didn't looked shocked, that surprised me. "Are you mad?" I asked.

"Mad? Why would I be mad?"

"I just thought... Maybe you aren't ready for this-"

"Well what's done is done, the choice is up to you. Whatever decision you make, I'll support you."

"You're not gonna leave me if I decide to keep the baby?" I asked as tears were slowly forming in my eyes.

"Why would I leave you? I let you go once, I'm not letting you go again." He said, holding my hand. "I love you and this baby, I promise to give you both the life that you deserve."

"I love you too"

oh and if you don't like where this is going, I'm sorry. I kinda ran out of ideas 😞 oh and I'm so sorry for not being active, I kinda grew out of writing/reading and levihan 😭 but I will finish this story.
