Chapter 16- catching up

RUEL POV:

i woke up to mateo crying and oakley getting up to get him and I followed and told her " go back to bed I can do it ok" she just looked at me tiredly and shaked her head about to speak but i stoped her " i said i have ok go back to bed get some sleep ouve missed two years of it ok its my turn for once"i sady as i take ateo out of her hands and lightly place my free hand on the back of her head and kiss her forehead "ok" she said and walked back to bed and I just stood there for a second and mateo smiling at me and going to reach for my head but I just stoped him and walked into the kitchen and sat him in his high chair and just looked all over the kitchen listening to him giggle and make noises I finally found it and put some in his bowl for him and bent over the bench on the other side of him resting my elvows on te bench and just watching him he would occasionally my a noise and smile at me I couldn't not smile at him he was not only child well baby but he was mine and I was happy but I was also scared that if I couldn't be a dad I well oakley will leave me again and I don't want that to happen I was falling back into that hole I was in when we met .

once he was done I quickly washed his bowl and cleaned up his face cause I new some basics I guess you could say, I picked him up and placed him on the living room floor and I opened the blinds so I didn't have to turn on the light and went and sat down watching mateo play or fiddle with these toys more than anything when he started to winge so I picked him up and sat him on my lap and held his tiny hands and started to pull faces and bounce him lightly with my legs he was gigling and making me laugh as well that fact that I was even putting a smile on his face even tho he was a baby it still made me feel like I could have a shot at this, I need up stoping for a sec and stood him up on my legs and holing his arms watching where moves his legs when he dose move it was his arms so I placed my hands on his tiny waist and felt him grab my hair very carefully which I was surprised about and he just lightly played with my long hair until I spoke and he let go and placed his hands on my bare chest " how bout we go wake up mummy " I said already getting used her being known as mum now it was cute and suited her a lot, he just smiled and so I got up and took him to her room where she was peacefully and I got on the side I was laght night and just mateo in the middle of us and he started to move around face damn was he quick all over oakley and he got on the other side of her and snuggled into her and played with her hair and face very gently until she woke up and smiled then laughed, she snacked him and rolled over to lay on her back and put her knees up resting him against them and tickeld him making him laugh and it was so cute making me and oakley both laugh I just looked at her admiring her and just thought about how much she has grown as a mum but an adult only being 20 now she was still beautiful then ever and always will be , I was snaped out of my thoughts when he started to go quiet and just stared at me I look back and oakley is looking back at me and I wasn't sure if I kiss her or not so I kinda just went for it and leaned in kissing her passionately for a second when we both let go smiling because mateo was laughing at us so I thought it was a fun game and I kissed her and looked back at him and he would laugh so hard from me and oakley kissing well pecking and looking at him soon it was just a really kiss and we just kinda let him laugh, "alight I think we should get up yea" she said looking at mateo and him looking at me I just got up and waited for some movement oakley looking at me then at mateo and him looking at me so I pulled a face and he turned and laugh at me falling into oakleys chest and I just smiled widely when a started to crawl of her and come over to my side of the bed well her bed and he just sat down and looked at me lifint his arms and using his and to move as if it was grabbing something I knew that he wanted me to pick him up so I did and oakley spoke as she was putting on some pants " he likes you a lot "she said laughing a little and walking over to us and and kissing mateos cheek and walking out the room in to the kitchen.

" has he been fed yet " she asked as I came in behind her and stood up against the other side of the bench putting oakley on it and lifting us his arms and and making noises as oakley was making something on the other side " um yes" i said taking a second to reply as i was laughing from mateo " ok cool did you eat" she said looking at me " me no i was focused on him" i said looking at them both ' good I'm making pancakes and putting music on" she said picking up her phone and connecting it to the speaker in the kitchen and playing some kids music cause he liked those ones i just watched and spun mateo around so he was facing oakley and i was holding him from the back to support him a little, oakley was dancing and doing move to the kids songs making mateo laugh and me to she soon gave me a plate " oh you can put him on the floor to crawl around just quickly make sure every door is closed so we don't get hurt on anything in the other rooms" i just picked him up and held him with my hands on his stomach and making him face the floor and pretended he was superman and i closed the doors then put him down and came back to the kitchen and started to eat " thank you for this and even giving me a chance" i said and watched as she came and sat next to me " your lucky i nearly didn't let you stay so" i just went quiet for a second still eating " so do you want me to go home or something today" i asked really wanting to know as i didn't want her to feel like i had to stay " i was thinking that you could stay for a bit and i could help you with a few things for parenting and stuff and then that's up to you if you stay " she said taking my plate to the sink as we where both finished i just got up and followed her on the other side and hugged her from be hind then spinning her and picking her up and putting her on the bench and just kissed her and we passionately continue as her lips taste like sugar and raspberries when we i flet something on me leg so i stope and look down and it was mateo so i bent down and picked him up so he was now face oakley and in the middle of us both " ohhhh whos this handsome boy" she said as she moved her face closer rubbing noses with him and then attacking him in kisses and then looking up at me and kissing me making him laugh everytime we do.
