Chapter 17- Being a dad

RUEL POV:

" let me take him," he said kissing my head and walking to the front of the prem and squatting  in front of him " ok fine,," she said stressed and I spoke to him " hey hey shhhhhhhhh hey mateo do you wanna help dad pick one,, "I said as I went to unbuckle his pram when Oakley spoke,, "I know its cold but take off your sweater and put your coat back on than take off his coat and hoodie that might settle him down the skin to skin contact is good for connecting to so don't ask any questions," she said and I just laughed and she bobbed in front of me and undressed mateo and I just took off my sweater and put my coat back on and held it until Oakley was done.

she picked him up and gave him to meand he instantly stopped his crying and she just took my sweater and placed it ontop of the pram and i was now walking with a coat and a baby also bear on my chest , he ended up falling asleep with his head resting on my shoulder and oakley told me " he's asleep " she smiled at me " I think this will do yeah its not much but its good enough isn't " I said and oakley just looked at me like whats wrong with me " rule I'm sorry and I know its going in your house but that's too much for a crib I cant let you do that" I just giggled as she was concerned on how I used my money " oakley your very much right its going in my house so I'm going to pay for it thank you " I said as I she came over shaking her head and grabbing mateo and holding him while I go and get a trolly ( shopping cart soz I'm aus) and put itin the cart now pushing that and wanting as oakley holds him yet still pushing the pram " do you want me to keep it off or put it back on " I asked while pointing to my sweater " I mean I'm not going to lie and tell you to put it on cause that's not want I want your hot in a coat with nothing underneath" she said flirting with me and smirking at me " oh so you flirt now how many guys have you tried that on" I asked teasing her and watched as she snapped her head back at me " what eww gross I what" is all she could say " um ouch are you calling me gross mis Oakley state your the one firlting with me " i said stoping and stancing at her with my arms crossed as my child side comes out "your an exception i guess" she said and walking back over to me " what are you going to do know mis state are you going to kiss me " i said being annoying and laughing "no" she said and pulled me by my ear " owww oakley baby stop" i said kinda yelling and we both stoped and looked at mateo as he started to laugh ' your supposed to me a sleep mister" oakley said and tapped his nose while saying it then looked at me and kissed me i just walked back and continued to shop.

we drove back to mine and i place mateo on our bed cause he was a sleep i put three pillows around him giving him some room to move and also stop him from falling of the bed even tho he was in the middle of this massive bed but still ,i walked into the next room and started to set it all up for my son and oakley was downstairs putting the grocery for mateo in the kitchen and then comes up to help me which took a couple hours as it was now 3 in the morning and i could tell oakley was really exuahsted we all had a really big day " your staying tonight alright i don't care what you say I'm not letting you drive home when your this tired ok its a big risk and its just wasting time so choose where you wanna sleep you still have some over your clothes here so go get changed ok ill take mateo to bed " said and kissed her head but she didn't move " wait you still have my clothes here why didn't you get rid of them " she said and i just came back and picked her up bridle style and walked her to the closet sitting her on the island in there " cause i thought you where going to come back for them and then leave again and i wasn't even going to try and convince you to stay then if you did come back "i said picking out something for her .
