We are not supposed to expect visitors now. No one is supposed to meet me without the special permission. Who can it be? As far as I know, that motherfucker was in prison. What if he escaped? He had managed to live all these years without a trace.....
The knock resounded and increased gradually.
"Who's it?" I asked, slightly changing my tone, to make it sound like a frantic old woman.
"Rosa...." I recognised it, that cold baritone voice, there's only one person on this damned place with that voice. I rushed towards the door, but then I remembered, what if someone is impersonating him? Severus himself used to tell me of the days of the Dark Lord, when he used Inferi to impersonate people and trap them and many had fallen prey to them.
I leaned at the door and asked aloud, "How do I know you are Severus Snape?" I am sure I heard a chuckle coming out and then he said,
"Rosa I can't.......can't tell you how glad I am that you asked this. Go ahead........" I could feel the contentment in his voice.
"Tell me which church I attend for my Sunday mass?"
"You don't. You only go to a church on Christmas and that is Steve Rogers' museum, fifth floor, the door on the right, your favourite thing is to just stare for hours at his big picture with the US flag waving over it. You can do it all day......."
"Enough!" I smiled and opened the door. And there he was, just as I saw him yesterday. He looked around and got in and closed the door behind him. I kept staring at his face, trying to memorize the details of his face, like it's the first time I am seeing him or maybe the last. He brought his hand up and softly brushed my cheek with his fingers. I shuddered at his touch. I have missed this so much. He did embrace me some time back when I was in the St. Mungo's but I have barely had time to be alone with him, it feels like ages now. I wrapped him up in a warm embrace immediately, nudging my nose in the crook of his neck and deeply inhaled his scent. We stood like that for a long time, then I realised, "How the hell was he here?"
"Severus....." I asked, my voice muffled, from the crook of his neck.
"Hmmm....." his voice was muffled too, as he nudged his nose in my hair.
"How are you here?" I let him go and looked at him and continued, "I thought I wasn't supposed......" before I could finish, he placed a finger on my lips and shut me up. Then he leaned in pressing his lips on mine, savouring them like it was the last bit of the Fruit Loop Sundae that he scraped from the glass.
"Lucius.........he helped me get permission to see you. Being your teacher and the head of your house has its perks."
"Tell Goldilocks I am so thankful to him." I told him, half smiling; he chuckled too.
"Come in Sev." I dragged him towards the living room. He followed me with a smile sticking on his handsome face. The Dick Van Dyke show was still running. Severus looked at it intently.
"What were you doing?" He asked as he sat down on the couch, cuddling with me on the couch.
"It's one of my favourite American sitcom, The Dick Van Dyke show. It's very funny. We all love it."
"Really? You never told me before." He said, biting his lips and then watching the show intently, laughing briefly as Rob rolled over and stumbled from his bed on the floor, when a loud noise woke him up in the middle of the night whereas Laura was snoring away peacefully. "It is funny. I should watch this more with you." He said, never taking his eyes off the show. Then he turned towards me and said, "Rosa...............I have to talk to you about something important, if you could switch it off for some time." I turned off the TV and turned towards him.
