I hurried towards Flourish and Blotts. Severus was already inside, up the stairs. It was nearly empty. I ran upstairs, pretending to look for something and soon found him amidst the books. He was going through some books. I stood beside him, with a smirk looking towards the books as well.

"Ms. Diaz."

"Professor Snape."

"You seem to get along well with the Weasleys."

"Yeah they were quite the cheerful lot, better than the Malfoys at least." He gave out a chuckle.

"Why do you talk to them, Severus?" his smile vanished and he looked at me.

"They are my friends."

"Were they.......they have......mark....like you?" I bit my lips, not sure if I should ask that.

"Yes. Lucius was. Not his wife." A relief washed over me, when he said they 'were'.

"I am sorry I shouldn't be prying around about your friends' lives. It's just, the Malfoys gave a very nasty look to the Weasleys, maybe they have their internal problem which I don't know about, but I didn't like that look they gave, I mean the Weasleys were like my friends too. So is Narcissa, I know she says mean things sometimes, despite that she treats me well and even though I reject, she invites me over for every Christmas. I wish I didn't have to choose between them. It feels so......." Before I could finish, Severus intervened,

"It's alright Rosa. No one asked you to choose. You did your best to be good to them, now it's up to them. You cannot change everyone. Okay?" he gave me a warm smile and leaned forward to plant a kiss on my cheek. It brightened me up instantly. I looked at him all flushed. He intertwined his fingers with mine. This sent a bolt of electricity down my spine and a pang of tickles in my stomach.

"Do tell me though, it's just out of curiosity I am asking, Mr. Li and Mr. Zhao...they seem to appear....very......close, is that friendship only or there is more than that?"

I looked at him shocked. "You don't know? Not that everyone does, but I thought you were smart enough to interpret it." I said with a smirk. He looked slightly bemused.

"So that was the reason Mr. Li got so upset last year, that he went hell bent on wrecking everything in every class?" I nodded my head.

"It's more about his family actually. They are like the Asian version of Malfoys." Severus nodded his head at that. "He was worried his family will kill him, honour killing, if they know about it. He is very scared to stand up to his family and face them. Even I didn't know what to tell him, however I assured him, whatever it is, we will deal with it together, that's what is keeping him calm now and the fact that he has Haoran.

Zhaos are way cooler than his family. They know and well accepted the fact that their son is gay and welcomed it with open arms." I looked at Severus with pleading eyes and continued,

"Please don't tell anyone about this. It's not that they don't show themselves to the world, but we cannot risk Sean's family knowing anything right now, they still have to wait before he turns seventeen."

"Of course I won't tell anyone. You don't trust me?" His eyes searching for sign of distrust.

"I trust you Severus. I just wanted you to know why we are so keen on hiding it for now. You know, after we all pass out, since we are together now, my friends will be your friends too, just like yours." He smiled.

"Are you sure about that? You know I don't have many friends."

"Yes I am sure. I am talking about the Malfoys by the way. I mean I like Narcissa. She is hot and nice, although I don't like Mr. Goldilocks."
