I stared out of the window, running my hand through my hair. My fingers got caught repeatedly, the tangles worsening by the minute. I sighed, pulling my hand from my hair. I hastily pull it back into a ponytail, hoping to calm my nerves. Instead, my knee starts to bounce, my heal ticking up every every few seconds. Dammit.

"Hey, Alex!" JJ smiled at me as the team walked in, everyone parting to their individual desks.

"Hey, how'd it go?" I stand quickly, looking through the team for the one person I needed.

"He was hiding out at his parents old house. Luckily he didn't put up a fight. Turns out he thought he was some sort of twisted savior. He thought by killing the men, he was protecting the girls, but he killed the girls to 'protect their innocence'." Reid rambled off, eyeing me suspiciously as I stared past him. Rossi and Aaron were still standing by the elevator, talking, "Hey, you okay?"

"Hm?" I turned to look at Reid, "Oh, yeah. I just hadn't heard from anyone in a while, so I was getting worried." The lie slipped off my tongue easily.

"I just texted you an hour ago?" JJ asked, moving to stand beside Reid, who was standing in front of me, "Sure you're okay?"

"Yeah, yeah." I walked towards the glass doors as Aaron started to walk in, his eyes darting towards me. His blank expression turned to worry as I got closer.

"Hey, what's wrong?"

"Can we talk?"

"Yeah, come on." He took my hand in his as we moved towards his office, gently squeezing it in reassurance.

He closed the door behind him and shut the blinds, the eyes of the team peering straight through the glass.

"Alex, what's wrong? What happened?"

"I had my appointment yesterday."

"Did something happen? Here, sit, please." He pulled me down to sit beside him on the couch, taking my hands in his, "You never told me what they said."

"I still have a hostile uterus. In fact, not only is my uterus going to fight a pregnancy, but I've lost most of my eggs. The chances of me getting pregnant without intervention are slim." I stared at my knee, glaring sightly at its incessant bouncing.

"Alex, breathe. What're you saying? You can't get pregnant?" He moved one hand to my chin, tilting my head so I'd look at him. His expression was gentle and worried.
