Ayleen's POV

I prepared myself a bath as soon as I went upstairs, trying to calm down my racing heart and all the feelings she provoked in me, that kiss was different, it felt like she attached invisible threads around my heart and had me completely under her spell.

When I left the bath, I found Serena sitting on my bed waiting for me, she looked radiant.

"Wow, looks like your date went well," I commented on her wide smile.

"He is such a perfect man," she sighed.. well shit, she is already hooked.

"Are you dating already? Don't you think you should be focusing on college for now?"

"Spare me the lectures, Ayleen, I know how to take care of myself .. not everyone wants to stay home practicing their music with a broken keyboard." Ouch.

"Actually, George is bringing the new one here, I will sell this one and keep the new one," I huffed proudly.

"I thought you didnt want it as it belonged to the band and not you?" she asked with squinted eyes.

"I think no harm will be done if I had it home," I shrugged trying to fight my smile as I remembered Clara's words.

Later that day, George, Marcus, and Edward came to our place to bring the keyboard and have dinner. Marcus was preparing drinks for us in the kitchen, which I took as a chance to talk with him.

"Marcus, do you have a minute?" I approached him slightly nervous.

"Sure girl, what's up," he answered unbothered.

"So.. Clara came here today, she took me out for lunch and.. kissed me," I whispered the last part with blush overtaking my cheeks, he slammed his hands on the kitchen table making me flinch.. what was his problem with Clara?

"Ayleen, I warned you about her! You really don't want to listen," he spoke in an accusatory tone.

"What's your problem?? She seems nice," I groaned not understanding his issue.

"She always seems nice!!! And in fact, she may even be nice.. but Clara isn't made for commitment,  she will break your heart."

"I was not born yesterday, I know how to take care of myself." I didn't enjoy being treated as an innocent child.

"Ayleen, I think you are too nice to suffer from Clara's mind games, why Can't you see that? If you are sure you will enjoy your time without falling head over heels for her, then be my guest," he scoffed and walked away.

"Thanks for the warning I guess.." I mumbled under my breath.. it's one of two things, either Marcus has some sort of personal vendetta against her, or she really is bad news, and I was getting myself into something I didn't know.

The week was passing by quickly, Monday came, and no news from Clara. Band rehearsal was Tuesday and Wednesday .. I hoped she would hear about it and show up,  but I was mistaken, no-one mentioned her either.. Even though Marcus worked with her she never came after working hours to see me..but she is a busy lawyer after all.. or that's what I said to provide myself with any sort of reassurance.

Thursday, I had my private tutor class with Marcelo, where he informed me I will be participating in a classical music event for Bach with the graduate class.. as exciting as that was, it scared me, I was a freshman, to join the graduates, that was a big deal even for me.

It was finally Friday and my hope to see Clara was all I could think about, was she even going to show up? She did mention she would be coming every Friday and Sunday to see me play.
