Ayleen's POV

It was already Thursday, the day of the Bach event, Serena and I were both extremely nervous about our piece, I sat on her bed watching her pace back and forth.

"Serena calm down, we will do well in the presentation," I tried to reassure her.

"Girl, what presentation?? I am worried about what to wear because Edward is going!" She exclaimed.

"Really? Just pick something, anything, how hard can it be?" I was starting to genuinely worry about her lack of care for college.

"What are you wearing? Please don't tell me another dress from your niece's wardrobe," she pointed out with squinted eyes. That comment made me recall the night we ran into Clara's friend, she said the same thing.

"Are my outfits really that bad?" I asked lowly and bit my lip.

"Not bad just... you could show your femine side more." She saw my saddened expression. "Ayleen.. Listen, why don't you borrow something from my wardrobe?" she proposed and handed me a high waist black skirt along with a white button-up silky sleeveless shirt.

"This looks kinda fancy, and out of personality for me," I told her frowning.

"Exactly the point," she clicked her tongue.

I reluctantly took the clothes, before I met Clara I would never care enough to try, however, the circumstances have changed and I wished to impress her. Unsurely looking at myself in the mirror I decided to wear it.

We made our way to the concert venue where our presentation was going to take place, we arrived earlier than the rest of the guests to set up our musical instruments.

Marcelo was overall very proud of me because I was going to be the only one playing without relying on the music sheets, when the concert started we made our way to the stage. I took my place on the piano and I heard Marcelo give the signal for the orchestra to begin.

Clara's POV

I was happy I managed to convince my mom to accompany me to the concert, we arrived with Edward and Marcus and took our seats just as the light dimmed indicating the start of the concert.

"Wow, this place is beautiful," I heard my mom say while looking around the venue.

"Yes, it will be even more beautiful when they start playing, I assure you."

The concert started and the students began to walk out, I saw Serena make an appearance first, Edward and Marcus applauded hysterically but my only focus was on the piano waiting for Ayleen to show up. A petite girl made her way to the piano and I was confused for a few seconds, where was Ayleen? I looked at the schedule in my hands, it said that the piano player will be Ayleen so there shouldn't be a mistake. I took another look to realize that it was in fact Ayleen but dressed completely different from her usual style.

"My god, how beautiful, wonderfully beautiful.. too beautiful," I spoke my thoughts out without having the strength to take my eyes off the girl.

"What was that?" I heard my mother ask.

Realizing what I've said, I told her calmly, "Nothing, making an innocent observation, mom."

"Andressa, don't mind Clara," Marcus said sarcastically, joining the conversation.

"Marcus, shut up.. Mom, that is Ayleen on the piano, the girl I told you about," I muttered.

"She is very beautiful, you didn't exaggerate, Clara."

"Oh you introduced Ayleen to her Mother in Law, already?" Marcus scoffed from the side.

"Do you want to shut up, Marcus?" I hissed at him, fed up with his bullshit.
