Y/n POV
*a few hours later*
I got into my house. I had so many mixed emotions. Happy about Lucas and sad about Will. But he probably got lost. I know we will find him. I walked into the kitchen. I know my mom would not be home till 10:40.
I usually stay up till she gets home. To make sure she gets home. I opened the fridge to see what he had for a snack. All I say was grapes. I took only a couple. My wrist felt a little better. I pulled down my sleeve to see what it looked like.
It looked a lot better. Just dry blood over the cuts. I also saw 3 numbers 008. They were like a tattoo. My mom said she would explain when I'm older. And I thought since I am in middle school I should ask again. When she gets home.
I tried washing them off but it was permanent. Only the boys knew about it. They thought it was cool. But I never liked it. But they loved it. So I only showed it to them to be safe.
"Y/n? Do you copy?" I heard my walkie-talkie say. I rushed over to the couch to see if they found anything about will.
"Yes" I said.
"Meet my in Lucas in 10" Mike said.
Lucas.
I have not talked to Lucas ever since the kiss. I don't know what to say or how awkward it will be. Buts it's worth it.
a couple minutes later
I met up with them and we ride our bikes down to where the roads lead to Wills house.
"Awe man this is it" Lucas says, as we reach at sign.
We all get to a stop. I can't believe this is happening.
"Hey guys you feel that? I think maybe we should go back" Dustin said, pointing out the rain.
"No. We're not going back" I told him.
"Just stay close" Mike finished.
Lucas looked at me at the last part and smiled. I had to smile a bit back. Then Mike started to get back on his bike.
"Come on" Lucas told Dustin as we started biking again.
" Stay on channel 6. And don't do anything stupid" Mike instructioned.
We all then started walking. Lucas came up right behind me and grabbed my hand. I looked down and he gave my hand a squeeze. My stomach was doing every sort of summer salt there could possibly do.
"Hey guys! Wait up!" Dustin yelled behind us.
We all stopped and turned around to wait for him. He came running after us. He looked at me and Lucas and smiled. Then he gave Lucas a thumbs up. I could not help but smile at that one too.
It started pouring down rain healthy. I shivered, Lucas walked closer to me to try to give some of his body heat to me. It was a nice gesture. I gladly took it.
With my Opposite hand I used my flashlight to look around the foods for anything. Any sort of anything.
"Will!" Mike shouted.
"Guys, I really think we should turn back" Dustin said. It was raining really hard and I was freezing.
"Sincerely Dustin. If you want to be a bug baby girl home already" Lucas said.
"I'm just being realistic Lucas" Dustin snapped.
"No you just being a big sissy" Lucas snapped right back.
"Didn't you ever think that Will had gone into something bad, and we're going the same way when he went missing. We have no weapons or anything" Dustin said.
"Dustin shut up" Mike said
"I'm just saying" Dustin said
"Just shut up" he replied.
"Can y'all shut up already! Do you hear that?" I asked. It was a loud thud.
I heard leaved crashing behinds us.
We all turned around and screamed.
It was a girl. With a yellow shirt and a bald head. She looks to be our age. She looked lost and scared.
We all starred at her shocked and confused. What was she doing out here all alone?
