The crew was being led out in the museum in handcuffs.
Tiffany:The Bad Guys go bust. The nefarious sixsome has finally been captured. And I, Tiffany Fluffit, am first on the scene.
Misty:Wow. You know, I-I just realized that I have devoted my entire adult life to putting you in jail. You are my purpose. Without you, who am I? Ah, I'm just kidding. This is the best moment of my life!
Misty smacks Wolf in the back.
Misty:It's the end of the Bad Guys.
Julie:I get that you've been chasing these guys for a long time, even before I joined, but do REALLY need to be so smug about it?
Misty:Hey, with all the headaches you lot caused me, I think I'm entitled to little bit of rubbing the salt in the wound.
Julie rolled her eyes.
Wolf:I'm sorry you got roped into this, kid. We were so close, and I mucked it up.
Julie:You weren't the only one, Wolf. I screwed up a little back there too.
Misty:Oh boo hoo, you can hash this out behind bars.
Julie:If I wasn't handcuffed right now, I'd punch you in the gut.
They began placing the crew in the back of the van.
Shark:No!
Piranha:Get your hands off of me!
Tarantula:Ooh, you're begging for a biting right now.
Snake:Wolf! Raccoon!
The two felt guilty for getting the crew caught. If they hadn't gotten distracted, they could have gotten away. However, when spotting Diane Foxington, an idea popped Wolf's head. He managed to break free of Chief Misty's grip.
Wolf:Excuse me.
Misty:Hey. Hey!
Wolf:Sorry to interrupt. I just wanted to congratulate the governor here. I got to say, you really got us pegged. We're just a deep well of anger and self-loathing.
Diane:Denial.
Wolf:Sure. That, too.
Diane:Narcissism.
Wolf:Yeah. Yeah.
Diane:Emotional emptiness.
Wolf:So we're on the same page.
Diane:Hmm.
The others were a little shocked and confused.
Shark:What is he doing?
Julie:Whatever it is, it seems to be working.
Wolf:Sadly, we were never given a chance to be anything more than second-rate criminals.
Diane gave a smug look.
Wolf:If only there was someone who could help the flower of goodness inside us blossom. Some icon of love and forgiveness, like, uh, I don't know, Mother Teresa.
Marmalade realized Wolf was referring to him.
Wolf:Best thing is to just throw us in jail for the rest of our hopeless lives.
Misty:Yeah, that's the plan.
She tried to put Wolf and Julie in the back, but the two were making it difficult.
Wolf:Wait, wait, wait, no, no.
Misty:Get in there!
She was just about to through the two in, when...
Marmalade:Wait!
Everyone was a little surprised.
Misty:Uh, beg... beg pardon?
Marmalade:Mr. Wolf may be a savage beast. Basically walking garbage. And Raccoon is an irritating little rapscallion. Sorry, I'm making a point.
Wolf:Do what you need to do, pal.
Marmalade:But how can we say they're hopeless if they've never been given a chance? What if... what if we tried a little experiment, Diane?
Julie:What sort of experiment?
Marmalade:Oh yes. For those unaware, my Gala for Goodness, the "hashtag charity event of the year," is coming up. If I can prove to everyone at that gala that the Bad Guys have changed, will you set them free and give them a clean start?
The crowd was a little shocked. Chief Misty dropped Wolf and Julie.
Wolf:Ow.
Misty:What? Professor Marmalade! No, no, no, no, no. Don't you see what he's doing? He's playing you.
Marmalade:It was his idea.
Wolf:It was his idea.
Misty:But only because you made him have it. Madam Governor, you can't just let them go.
Diane:Professor, I'm not about to put the safety of the city on the line for an experiment.
Wolf:Excuse me, Madam Governor. I seem to remember that a wise person once said, "Even trash can be recycled into something beautiful."
Julie:You're words. Not ours.
Diane chuckled.
Diane:Okay. I'm game. But only because it's you, Professor.
Misty:NO!
Diane:We'll hold on to the Dolphin until the gala. Just to remove any unnecessary temptation.
Marmalade:Of course. Good thinking. That's why you're governor. Now that everyone's happy-
Misty:Not happy.
Julie snickered a little at Chief Misty's frustration
Marmalade:-I, Rupert Marmalade the Fourth, will turn the Bad Guys into...the Good Guys!
The crowd gasped. The rest of the crew was shocked. Wolf undid his cuffs and gave them back to Chief Misty. He also undid Julie's cuffs.
Wolf:I think these belong to you.
Diane smirked
Diane:Not everyone gets a second chance. Make the most of it, Mr. Poodleton. You too, kid.
Wolf closed the door and they began to drive off.
Snake:Wolf, Raccoon, what are you doing?
Wolf:What?
Group:Yeah.
Wolf:Oh, that.
Wolf chuckled as he and Julie sat down.
Wolf:I-I-I'm sorry. I thought it was, uh, obvious.
Wolf and Julie:We're gonna go good!
