As she was approaching the house, she heard what sounded like a car's engine revving, but she didn't pay much mind to it. Until she saw headless appear from behind her. Just as a car was about to run her over, Diane rushed out and managed to tackle her out of the way. Julie was shaking from the experience. Diane was keeping a good grip on her.

Diane:It's okay kiddo. I've got you.

Diane turned back to see who had nearly ran them over. It was two dumb teenagers. Diane angrily stomped over to them. She grabbed them by their shirt collars and slammed their backs against the car.

Diane:What. Is. WRONG WITH YOU TWO?!

Teen 1:It was just a joke...

Teen 2:We weren't actually gonna hit her.

Diane punched one of them to the ground.

Diane:If I see either of you here again, I will not be so NICE!

The two teens ran off. Diane saw that Julie had ran back in the house. She went in to check on her. She was shocked to see that she seemed to having a small panic attack. She immediately ran over to her to calm her down.

Diane:It's okay. I'm here. Shhhhh.

Julie:It's my fault...It's my fault...I'm sorry Mom...

Diane realized that this little incident brought back the memory of when her mother was run over.

Diane:Julie, sweetie...look at me.

Julie looked up. Diane put her on the couch and sat next to her and continued to comfort her.

Diane:That was NOT your fault. Yes, you were the reason she was out in the street in the first place. BUT...You were a toddler at the time, you didn't know what were doing was dangerous. If anyone's to blame for her death, its that idiot who decided to speed through a neighborhood with zero regards to their surroundings.

Julie wiped her tears.

Diane:I understand that your father was grieving, but that didn't give him the right to blame, beat, and abandon you for that.

Julie:Do you think my Mom would be upset about me becoming a bad guy?

Diane:Honestly...I think your Mom would understand given all you've gone through before you met the group. I imagine she'd be furious of how your Dad treated you and couldn't do anything about it. And...I imagine she'd be proud of you changing your ways. I know I am.

The storm was raging outside. The a large bolt of thunder crashed down, making a very loud boom. Diane was startled a little, but she was surprised to see Julie cling to her, shaking.

Julie:Mom, I'm scared!

Diane was surprised at Julie calling her mom. Julie blushed and covered her mouth out of embarrassment. But after seeing Diane smile, she dropped the embarrassment. The two watched a movie late into the night...
