"Something is brewing within the safety of darkness"

—-—

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER LONG MOMENT FOR KEITH TO STAY BEHIND AND COVER FOR HIS COWORKER'S SHIFT IN THE DAILY PROPHET. The said coworker was supposed to do a report with regard to the rumours about Grindelwald recruiting more people in his group. The half-Korean did not know who the source was, but his coworker just gave him a paper, with an outline of information, and a lousy excuse that he was needed by his mother at home.

But everyone knew that the said mother was dead. They were all invited to the funeral a few months ago.

Keith just took the job and the horrible excuse, as fishy as it seemed. One, he was nice enough; two, he might get yelled at by their boss, again; and three, it was either that or coming along with the god-awful toerag with the last name of Skeeter, who was going to interview an author or some sort. He didn't want to stick around that long with that woman and her poor choice of a colour scheme in her attire.

Who wears lime green for an interview anyway?

Keith, who was sporting a long crème coat, had been sitting in front of his desk for hours, writing away as an enchanted typewriter did its work beside him. The clock was ticking away, and all he dreamed of was to go home and take a nice rest.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Aren't you supposed to be getting home?"

The Daily Prophet employee looked up from his work to see who owned the voice. To his surprise, standing beside his desk was his former boss, and the former director of the Magical Law Enforcement department, Bartholomew Zerophynus, or Barry for short.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Well, work's holding me back," Keith replied as he stood up and held out a hand, a habit of his when seeing the other male since he was a former subordinate of Bartholomew. "It's nice seeing you here again, sir."

Barry let out a chuckle, shaking the hand that Keith held out for him. "Would say the same to you, Keithson"

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"You know I hate being called that."

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Yeah, but it's stuck with me. Auror Lupin's doing."

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Adelaide, of course, it's her." The Daily Prophet employee chuckled as he sat back down in his seat. "No other person in this world calls me that but her. Well, my grandmother's an exception."

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"That, I wouldn't doubt." Bartholomew leaned on the wooden desk, causing it to make a bit of noise. "Speaking of Adelaide, how is she?"

Keith suddenly paused from scribbling on his notepad for a second or two. "She's. . . alright. If that's the proper word to describe her." With that, the male returned to his writing duties, though he was expecting the other to keep on questioning him about his friend.
