What if i messed up your makeup

It took about an hour in total for the doctor to stitch up his hand, i counted 11 on the side.
"Ok so good news is that after a little checking, and based on your reactions Gareth, no bones are broken."
He nodded and looked down at his hand which was now tightly wrapped in white bandages.
"You're gonna need to take these pain killers every day, and come back next week for me to check the stitches." The doctor said smiling, handing him a box.

"Okay, thanks." Gareth said.

I decided to stay with him for the rest of the day, after James and Jeff left to go home.
I felt like he needed the company, seeing as his parents were still out.
"You don't have to stay if you don't want to you know." He said as i picked out another board game
"No i want too." I say firmly
"Guess who?"
"What?" He said
"The game? Wanna play guess who?" I ask holding up the red box
"Oh. Yeah sure."

"Does she have red hair?" I ask
He shook his head, i flip down the characters with red hair.
"Does he have brown hair?" I rolled my eyes, then smiled and nodded.
"You're too good at this dude." I said
"Does she have h/c hair?" He nodded.

"Does he have brown eyes?" I nodded, he flipped down some more characters.
He looked back up at me smiling, oh no. He's gonna guess on his next turn.
"Is it Annie?" I ask
He shook his head, laughing and looking down.
"Nope. Is yours Andrew?"
I smiled and looked at him with annoyance.
"Yes."
"He looks like me don't you think?" He said, holding up the picture of the character i chose
"Yup, thats why i chose him. So, who was your character?" I ask
"Natalie." I look at the character with h/c hair and e/c eyes, she even had my haircut.
"Well she looks identical to me!" I said with a giggle
"Well, i just chose who I thought the prettiest one is." He said with a little grin.

I laughed while leaning forward to mess with his hair again.
"What is your obsession with my hair??" He said holding my hand still with his good hand.
"Its just so soft!! And you spent a good 3 minutes on brushing it this morning. Practically asking for me to mess it up." I said, pulling my hand back
"You spent ages on your makeup this morning. How would you like it if I messed that up?"
I paused for a moment, re-thinking what he had just said.

Until a grin started to appear on my face
"You realise how that sounds right."
He thought for a moment before going bright red in the face.
"I uhh- I didn't mean it like that I promise!!" He stuttered
I laughed loudly
"Im just messing with you. In fact, i would love it.." i said jokingly with a flirtatious wink.
Making him turn even more red.

It took me ages to calm him down, and convince him that i was only joking. We laughed about it for a good ten minutes afterwards.
We had completely run out of things to do by then, so we just lay on the floor next to eachother.
It was nearing 6pm. All we had eaten all day was chips of different flavours, and candy bars. We had also watched a bunch of movies over and over.

"Hey.. do you feel like we should be looking for Eddie." I say, turning over to face him.
He did the same and looked at me in the eyes, then looked away.
"I don't know.. maybe. I just- don't know how we would start."
He replied
"Fair.. I guess we would start by looking for Dustin and Mike, they seem like the type to look." I say
"Mike went to California actually. To visit his girlfriend, you're right about Dustin though."

I thought for a moment.
"I think we should look for Dustin, and help him look for Eddie."
He looked back at me
"You're sure? Wouldn't it be better to leave that to the police..?"
I huffed
"The same police who believe he did it? The police who would arrest him without a second thought?" I say

"Okay. Lets look for Dustin." He said finally
