Rope to the upside down

"Robin??" I exclaim, before clenching my stomach in pain. Hah, guess I'd forgotten about that. My whole torso was in excruciating pain actually.
"Been there done that." Steve said pointing to his bandages.
"How.. how long have you guys been standing there?" Gareth asked suspiciously
"Long enough." Robin said, pointing to her mouth to make a gagging noise.

"So Gareth the great has a girlfriend now. I NEVER. Would have seen that one coming." Eddie said laughing playfully.
Gareth helped me up, carefully supporting me by holding my waist, while weakly flipping Eddie off with his bad hand.
I just chuckled to myself
"Soo.. uh sorry to crash the party kids, but we may have just found how to get back to our realm." Robin said

I look over to Gareth.
"Never thought I'd be so happy to hear those words."
While we walked, Nancy was explaining what had happened while Gareth and i fought off a man eating bat.
Although, I wasn't really listening. I was too focused on the fact i was DATING Gareth.. literally the cutest guy i had seen in... ever, was now holding my waist as we walked.
I know it was so I didn't fall over from the pain, but regardless, it was giving me butterflies.

I rested my head on his shoulder, not expecting it but he turned and gave me a little kiss on the forehead.
Safe to say I probably looked like a strawberry for the next ten minutes.
Finally, we arrived at Eddies trailer.
(The upside down version) and stepped inside to see a large, glowing gash on the ceiling.

"That's exactly where Chrissy died." Eddie commented, with a pang of guilt. Or.. sadness in his voice.
He was friends with Chrissy for a short while.. I never really considered how hard it must have been to think back to her dying. Or watching the fucking thing.
We all watched and waited for- I'm not sure what. Well whatever, we watched the ceiling.
"So, what are we waiting for exa-" Steve was cut off when suddenly something stuck through the gash in the ceiling. It was a broom!
"Henderson!" Steve shouted
The gash opened up, to reveal Dustin, Max, Lucas and Erica standing there.
Dustin was smiling widely as he looked up at us- or down at us?

Im not sure. It was like out worlds ceiling was.. also the ceiling in the upside down.
"That is trippy.." Robin said looking upwards at the strange phenomenon.
"So.. how exactly do we get.. out?" Eddie asked slowly.
We could see the other group in the other world fumbling around, and eventually brought in a mattress, and a long rope.
Dustin grabbed one end of the rope, and threw it upwards, making it fall downwards into the upside down.

"That is insane.." i say in disbelief.
Robin stepped forward carefully, and lightly tugged on the rope, it held, then put her full body weight on it. It held!
She looked ready to haul herself up when she looked closely at the mattress, then back at Eddie.
He hesitated
"Those stains are uh.. I don't know what those stains are."

She gave him a side eye while nodding slowly
She eventually lifted herself up, grunting as she struggled.
I wasn't sure what was going to happen when she reached the gap in between the worlds.

She got there eventually, hesitating when she was about to go through, her hair suddenly flipped up like she was falling, then she did fall! Right onto the mattress in the other world.
We heard her sigh and sit up.
"That was fun."

I looked over at Gareth, and his hurt hand.
"I don't know how i'm gonna be able to do that." He said, attempting to clench his fist.
I looked down at my stomach, and stepped forward, limping a little.
I never actually described it, my lower back has 2 large holes from the teeth of the creature, and my stomach was almost completely mangled. Exposing lots of flesh.
"Y/n you go next, we can try to support you when you climb up." Steve said.
I nodded and stepped forward, Gareth slowly let go of my waist, and held his hands up as kind of a back up.

I held onto the rope, and started my climb.
At first it was excruciating. I winced, and used basically all of my strength up trying to not collapse. Eventually, with some lifting from the others, and the rope scratching my bare flesh. I made it and plummeted down onto the mattress.
Cringing again, getting up to see that my back left two large red puddles of blood on the mattress. I looked up and mouthed
"Sorry." To Eddie, who just shrugged.

It was Gareth's turn now, it took him a while to climb up the rope, basically doing it one handed. He then finally fell to the mattress and got straight up to give me a hug, and a kiss on the cheek.
I rested my head on his shoulder, suddenly feeling drowsy.
"Your hand ok?" I ask him, touching it lightly. The blood at the side was beginning to seep through the bandages, he would probably have to get it re-stitched.
"Its ok.." he said smiling while looking down.
I love his smile.

Eddie came through without any problems.
Landing on the mattress (not exactly in the most majestic way)
"That was fun." He said
Steve looked at Nancy.
"See you on the other side." He said
She smiled back "on the other side."
Nancy was about to go through, when she stopped suddenly, staring into space.
Steve panicked.
"Nancy... hey! Stay with me.. Nancy hey!!"

We all looked up with concern.
"Steve?! Whats going on?? Steve?!" Dustin yelled.
Max moved in closer, worriedly whispering
"Vecna."

Hey guys!! Thank you for all the support, unfortunately i'm not going to finish the story line until season 4 part 2 comes out, so expect more chapters on the 1st if July!!

In the meantime, i was thinking of making some cute couple scenario chapters. Like dates, and more hangout times. Ones that aren't relevant to the plot line
